Hey Guys,

Next year I'll go back. Looking for some tires and a spare diff & axles too :) Have fun, post up some slips and pics/vids when you get back.

Ah man, was hoping you'll make it lol. I'll post vids or time slips up if they are good lol. The C6 is harder to launch than I thought.

Haha, no worries man. As far as the launching C6 goes, have you heard of this "Ranger" character? He is some kind of 1/4 mile record setting corvette driver... see his website. Here's the section that talks about how to launch:

Good luck and have fun!!!

Thanks! Yeah I've read Rangers tips a few times. He's quite informative.

I didn't do too well on Saturday. Best time, my first run, was a 12.9. My drag wheels doesn't have TPM sensors on them so on my 2nd and 3rd runs, the PCM wouldn't allow me to turn off traction control. With that, I had a very hard time attempting a burnout and could not get the tires warmed up enough. I might have to install a linelock per WackyRicer's suggestion.

A couple of my fellow old fart C6 owners were running 12.3's - 12.5's consistently. However, they had automatics so there wasn't much effort needed for them.

I got three runs in before 1pm. If I would have stayed, I probably could have gotten 5 runs.

There was one junky/sleeper FC that ran a 10.5. I chatted with with the owner for a bit. Typical FC owner - all thugged out and all. HAHHAHAH. :)

I'll post a vid of his run later.

I keed...I keed! You should be able to view the vid now.

Awesome, thanks for posting results. What was your 1/4 mph? Do you have the entire timeslip you can share? Curious what your 60' & 1/8 mile mph/time is :) Good job regardless, are your cars the 430 hp models? Oh yeah, and driving a manual is way harder! So I take it the track wasn't that crowded? Last time I was there they actually told us to leave after getting 3 runs

Here's my slip of the 12.9 pass. It's not impressive by any means lol. I also forgot that my rev limiter is at 6.5k. So from first thru 3rd gear, I hit it everytime. That probably killed my mph. :(

My C6 has the LS2 but I have bolt-ons, intake, headers and exhaust. So it should be right up there with my fellow old fart Vette owners since they have the LS3 430hp.

I need to get my 60' in the 1.8 or 1.5. Otherwise I'll be stuck in the high 12's forever.

Yup tha FC was no joke!
