Phong, I know of a place in fremont where the supra guys flew in a well known tuner to tune our cars recently. The shop owners are really cool and they charged us 60 bucks an hour with wideband.

Actually, I know which shop you're talking about already, only thing is the last tune session back in Sept, the Fremont shop backed out at the very last minute. That left everyone dry and scrambling to find another dyno place right away. I wouldn't want the same thing happening again, and keep in mind that this is a weekend and holiday schedule for most places, so most shops don't even open on sundays and holidays and they might being paying overtime to their workers.

Deusdeceptor and anyone else who might be interested in knowing... I have a freind who was going to this shop SpeedElement and informed me of their dyno... Last time I set up the tuning session with Steve i thought hey Im all about promoting bay area shops might as well see what they got to offer. I got in contact with them and over the coarse of two weeks went over our agreement with dyno pricing and time, there was no problem and everything was going according to plan and they are really nice people. We decided i was going to bring my car down and time strap on strap off times to get a better idea of how long each strap down on/off was going to take. There was no communication with them for about 2 weeks after our verbal aggreement untill i finished my car and was ready to bring it down to test strap. I waited for two days and finally got a email back which went something to the effect of, Hey Chris sorry but were not interested in renting out the dyno for outside tuners currently and went on to tell me how they had just had one the past weekend with an outside tuner and they were there untill 2am blah blah blah and how they only got 6 cars done over the two day tuning session so couldnt understand how we could get 8 cars done so quickly without being there so late each day, pretty much backing out about 2 weeks before Steve got here, I tryed to work it out with them but they just were not interested. In a bind i got in contact with Phong(insomniac) and we got in touch with Chuck over at Tech3 which informed us they were closed for a racing event, we explained to him the situation and told him anything he could do would be appreciated, instead of going out racing that weekend Chuck opened his shop for us and brough in his guys to help out...At the beginging of this tuning session Phong got in touch with me and was recommended to SpeedElement and want to know my opinion, I told him the same story and we decided it would be better to give our business to someone who consistantly comes through for us. I have nothing against SpeedElement and this isnt a personal vendeta against them but I feel as a community I gave them a chance for us and they screwed us Chuck at Tech3 has always been good to us as a community and gives us fair prices I thikn he deserves our loyalty. Thanks for reading this long thing lol

Chris and Phong,

I totally understand where you guys are coming from, and chuck is more than supportive of us. We do need to reward our business to those who support us and I fully agree with your decision.

The shop I was referring to didnt get a dyno until like 2-3 months ago and so I dont think it was the same one you guys are referring to. Us local supra guys had Spoolin Performance off of DURHAM for our dyno tuning session and they opened early and stayed late for us the whole weekend, charging us 60 bucks and hour for dyno time. They have an awesome welder in Phillip on hand and awesome owners. Like chuck, they were more than willing to lend us some tools, supplies, etc that we needed. We are flying our tuner out again mid January for another session so if you guys are interested in attending, shoot me a PM and I'll give out more info. I guess keep this place in mind as a backup dyno site if ya happen to need one in the future.

-Vince

Btw. Chris, I put on the blitz nur spec and the midpipe on the Fd. LOVE it!

Got a question for any of you who would know; I have a FC3S, would I need to install an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator, if I am running 550cc pri inj, 1200cc sec inj, TD06 turbo, stock engine (no portings), powerfc and supra's twin turbo fuel pump? I am thinking maybe at the most is 16 psi of boost. Another way in putting this question is; at WOT, what pressure should we be seeing to make sure that there is sufficient fuel in the system? Any pointers on this would be great. Thanks!

Kevy do you have a fuel presure gauge that the only way you can tell. At idle with the vacuum lines pulled from the FPR you should see around 38PSI at wide open throttle you should see 1lb increase per lb of boost so like you said 16lbs so at WOT and full boost your FP should be around 54PSI aftermarket FPR are good because they dont fluctuate and hold better pressure than stock. So do you HAVE to no SHOULD you... well that depends on how much you like to gamble.

Deusdeceptor... In the back of my mind I was thinking you might be thinking of them thats REDZONE, Ive known Phil since freshman year high school damn like 11 years ago and Jeremy and Brandon for about 7 years now, I found out about there dyno recently and told Phong about it meant to go talk to them just havent had time. They are probably the only other people i would give my business to. Glad to hear you like the exhaust, I got some more stuff for sale!!!

Hey guys, I've sent out PM reminders to those who haven't paid their deposits yet. So I'm going to keep it open until Monday Jan 14th, afterwards I'll just remove those that havent' paid and no more deposits will be accepted.

Then I can start scheduling people for what day and what time slots, at the same time trying make it convenient for everyone. So let me know if your on a tight schedule for that weekend as some of us do have to work or tend to other business.

We will start tuning 9am sharp with about 2hours per car a day, so it'll be like this:

9am -
11am -
1pm -
3pm -
5pm -
