allright guys here she is.. My project is comming along well. Just waiting for some parts from jspec land and another commission check to buy some more parts and It will be ready to tow over to Juni for the tune. The turbo is a T04E, I would have put it on but my manifold is in LA with some other goodies like a secondary FD oil cooler I'm going to run in the brake duct because the front mounts are notorious for starving our FC oil coolers of air. also, I'm proud to say I'll be one of the few FCRE owners to still have power steering thanks to a GSL-SE p/s bracket, a plasma torch, grinder, and a little creativity. Shout out to fc3s91 robert for all the mentoring and help in my quest for more power.

the street port will be from Rotary Power, then the rebuild will be from Taren.
i think im going to have Jeff at Rotary Power tune the PFC as well.
plus, you gotta delete some crap from your inbox.
i wanted to PM ya but it's full

i'll join you guys at a meet as soon as all of this is done.
just hold on a little bit more...
hey guys, im sorry i couldnt get out to the last meet, but i had duty, you know how the Marines goes...... hopefully ill be able to get out to one of the next ones but i do have some questions. I am thinking about looking into some upgrades but i dont know where to start, my 93 is stock. I just wanted to know what i should start with because i want to do this the smart way so i dont end up blowing anything. Anybody with some tips feel free to hit me up, thanks.
id start with an exhaust to open her up....... mazdas exhausts are very restrictive!
#2 in my book would be to probubly get a koyo aluminum radiator, and replace the thermostat... since rx7s are notorious for cooling issues... that pretty much would be the smartest thing to do to the car....
#3get a front mount (or v-mount) intercooler.... it will lower the intake temps and make it safer to run slightly higher boost levels... or make the stock boost levels only safer!
plus its BLANG BLANG!
also, before any of this, make sure to get into her nice and deep like... do a thourough tune up.. plugs, wires, fuel filter, trans fluid, diff fluid, oil change, etc..... you never really know when the previous owner did all of this, and its just a smart thing to do! and that way, you an start a new maintenance schedule!

Money Mike,
the 3rd Gen (1993-1995) RX-7's can be a real pain: they get pretty tempermental once you start modding them for power. The first mod I'd reccomend is a downpipe and a fresh set of tires. Also a water temp gauge and a boost gauge. Then an upgraded radiator, but the Koyo is too thick in my opinion. www.radiatorworld.com sells an all-aluminum radiator that is 1.25" thick, which is slightly larger than the upgraded radiator found in the 1999-2002 RX-7's (which weren't sold in the US). The website doesn't mention it, but it's made by CSF which is a decent brand. You can't beat the price either.
Don't forget the standard maintenance stuff: fresh oil, spark plugs, coolant, fuel filter, spark plug wires, etc... Many people recommend replacing the fuel filter every 15k miles.
