Welcome to the club Jason, I just went through that same problem( bad clutch) with the red RX7 I just got. Rob suggested a clutch setup that I went with and it is doing fine. Also the Racing Beat's rear counter weight will work with other aftermarket flywheels.

So before I get started, let me ask this: Will the stock counter-weight Racing Beat sells work for any aftermarket flywheel (not just Racing Beat's) ?

Here are the flywheel and clutch combos I'm looking at:

http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/perf...ch/Clutch_Kits
The SPEC Stage 2
Supposedly lasts 2-3 times longer than a stock clutch.

http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/perf...eels/Flywheels
The ACT Prolite

What do you guys think of those choices for a daily driver? Nothing too wild, and from what I've heard, a "racing" flywheel isn't really all its cracked up to be with it's difficultly to use with a daily driver.

HorsePowerFreaks.com seems to be pretty darn cheap. Thats where I got my catback from, and I saved a bunch of money using them rather than Corksport or Amazon.com.

I'm doing airport pickup duty for the wife on Saturday, so I'm out. Next time, though... and I got tires now. (yay) Cheap tires, but at least bits aren't falling off of them.

I'm getting excited for you to drop that bridgeport in. Besides the bridge, what other mods are you running on it? Will you use your GIANT intercooler that you've got on your current engine?

haha, yeah that intercooler should be going in with the bridge along with a p-trim td04s. Engine prep is taking much longer than I wanted it to because I rushed a few things and am going back over it to make it right. My only concern right now is if I can even fit a filter on the turbo with that intercooler where it is.

If you need a custom built tubing for air ducting let me know. My brother in-law is a fab guy. He is going to build me intake for my seven. Considering I have only 5" between my T-78 and v-mount. No elbow or piping will fit that you can buy off the shelf. I'm having it piped down to the front left corner for COLD air intake!!

Ok so. I was thinking yesterday (practically killed myself in the process, lol) and now I'm considering bench bleeding my brake MC. But here's the crazy part: I figure instead of taking it off, and using a screwdriver, why not just leave it on and use the brake pedal?

I've already made my own Bench Bleeding kit. I just don't like the idea of breaking a good seal and stabbing a potentially good MC with a philips-head.

I'm I missing something?

^ yes you are. You are not touching any of the seals when you bench bleed. simply take a large phillips screwdriver and push were the brake pedal normally would. It can't be damaged by doing this. just repeat till you get a constant stream of fluid coming out.

just reread your post and didn't realize it was already on the car.
