Dude, seriously get some sleep. it's nothing that cant wait untill you get some rest. besides once you get some rest you can think more clearly, and you can devote more time to the car....... trust me, your car will thank you.

Wait December 10th? Isn't that D1GP? I'm debating on whether taking my seven down for the event. Only thing I'm worrying about right now is being hassled by the cops, That and the crappy gas mileage coming in from Sac.

~80 miles on it.

man, this thing feels like a dog below boost!! just for fun, i didn't touch the fuel and timing maps on my way up to barstow. at 0 boost, egt's are about 80 degrees C lower than they were with the high compression rotors. at 10 psi, they're about 90-100*C cooler.

so just in case anyone's wondering what sort of effect higher compression has on egt's there's a little info on it...

so i added about 3* timing at zero boost and linearised it into both the vacuum and boost maps, so at 10-12 psi, it's still the same--just more timing under the areas where there's less boost.

imma change the oil and go for a drive. anyone wanna hang out? i need more mils on it.

NOOOO!!!!! I'm sorry to hear that you broke your motor. God damn 9.7:1 rotors. How did you pop it? What boost? We need to compare notes.

If you need to drive somewhere, cruise out to the desert and check out my apartment and Connor. If not its all good, I know the feeling of the broken apex seals.

If you want to try it again I've got at least one good 9.7:1 rotor you can have, for free and everything.

Anyways don't know if you still want to go, I'm cruising out on Tuesday for the OTR track day on Wednesday. Gonna be bringing Michelle and the two little goobers, their first track day! Hehe I'm gonna make gearheads outta them in no time.

BTW Dave, got my car out to the races, and managed to get the cops to come out to the meeting spot, they thought someone was shooting, but it was just me making flames bouncing off the rev limiter! :p Then I went to the races and did about a minute straight of tire sliding, donuts and circles and what not. Engine is purring...I think I may be okay on the track. If not I'll come over and we'll get drunk and smash some apex seals with a hammer or something.

Dude, you're a retard. Did you not see SpeedDemon's post about not making it to the drags? And did you not read about GuitarJunkie blowing his BROKEN IN engine on Saturday and then rebuilding it, thus having 80 miles? Duuurrrrrrr...

1.5 bar? Eek...I've been spiking 1.3 lately, with the stock intercooler, but all is well. It must've been one hell of a ride with that kinda boost & compression!

As for the wheels, I'm borrowing the white FC's front wheels for the track day cause mine are dented up and the tires are damn near bald. They wouldn't pass tech. My rears suck too, using cause I got no choice lol...

once the engine goes through an operating temp. cycle, change the oil to get all the leftover assembly lube, hylomar, and bullshit out of it. THEN go 500 miles.

alright, alright, alright, you guys. knock it off.

Once again this is a "non hostility thread"

RiceBurner, Guitar Junkie is an engine builder himself, and he has his ways of doing things. an early oil change cant hurt a thing.

guitar junkie & mazpower, Riceburner also helps build engines, and it appears that not changing the oil after 80 miles works for them.

My RX-8 i think says to change it every 5000 - 7000 miles, and I still change it after 3,000. everyone has their own ways.

so all of you drop it, it's not that big of a deal.

Where did I say that you or your buddies don't know how to build rotaries? You misread the posts above and didn't think before you spoke.

As for meeting in person, anytime bro. I'd be happy to hand you your *** on the straights, twisties, or in other primal forms. No need to try to be hard over the internet.

I don't know ****. Nevermind 2 half-bridged rotaries, one with over 1 year of continuous operation at 15 psi, 91 octane, and capable of extended running in 110+ temps. Just in case you can't read: http://www.importmodifier.org/video/dyno.wmv That was my 400 hp dyno pull, 14.5 psi AND on pump gas. This car was at Sevenstock, running, and being sold by its new owner, after he had it for over a year. My new bridge is a FD half bridge running a T66 turbo, but don't worry, if you race it you'll own me cause I don't know what I'm doing.
