I'm flying out to St. Luis on Saturday and won't make either this month.

I will not be at the meet this Saturday unfortunately. I'm dropping off my car at Lucky 7 in a couple hours. I've got a crazy knocking noise coming from the rear of the car every time I touch the gas or clutch. I will be at the race though, just not racing. I'll be watching my dad and you.

 

Most likely its the diff mount. Fris will take care of you. Hey K.C I have some family things on Saturday but I'll be racing on sunday. What time should I be there?

Lucky 7 called and said I've got a broken diff mount and a leaking differential. Ouch.

 

I will try to make it to the meet, but you know me.

Jason i wanna see your mount and take a ride in your car or something, i think i have the same problem.

 

uh..+3 my diff mount has a thud as well but I'm going to Formula d this saturday.
will & matt: I'll still sell the rebuild kit for cheap if ya want it.

the dif mount is very common. I have had it break on just about every RX-7 I have eer owned.... its just one of those things.



Robert, I am finding out right now if you can jsut run X runs with us. I will let you know soon what time to be there, but as of now I would guess 11:30 or so.

you can barrow a loaner helmet available art the track, or I can bring my closed face helmet if you like..... is up to you.

Jason, you know you can always co drive with your dad in the S2000. you dont HAVE to sit on the side lines. (remember the line for multiple drivers like Keith and I were in)



also, it looks liek there might even be an RX-8 guy or two at the meet!

also dont forget to put some extra air in your tires (jason) if you feel you need to. (rob I expect you already know what tire pressure you will be running... though keep in mind autocross is a LOT tighter, so you might want to go up a pound or two from what you run at the road races)
