Pic a Part Report

Anyone have any FC (especially Verts) siteings at any of the area Pic A Part, U Pic U Pull, Ecology, etc anywhere between the 605 area to the 215 area and perhaps down into the OC?

I need a few low demand parts and being concerned with the environment I want to minimize the driving around so to minimize the pollutants my smog producer produces.

Rotary13B1 07-25-09 02:31 PM

I was at the Peck Rd one last week... NADA.. zilch Rotaries. What a waste of 2 dollars.

HOZZMANRX7 07-25-09 02:38 PM

Hokay then, I'm heading east

thanks

HOZZMANRX7 07-25-09 07:32 PM

Didn't head east after all, went to the OC.

Beach and Katella NADA
Beach and Ball NADA

Anyone afraid to publish their secret finds for all to see, please PM me with any willing help otherwise. Otherwise, indeed heading east tomorrow.

I havent been to the junkyard lately but when I go, I head straight for ze german section. I havent been in the japanese sections lately but I rarely see FCs in there. What parts are you looking for?

HOZZMANRX7 07-25-09 07:59 PM

Interior AC/heater/fan control unit primarily, few odds and ends otherwise.

Juan 07-25-09 08:03 PM

Guess I have to give back to the community and start junking more FCs

jmabo205 07-26-09 06:21 AM

there was one at the wilmington last week, motor was out but the interior wasn't too bad.

drex13 07-26-09 02:14 PM

hey i saw one in sun valley last week...cross street glenoaks/pendleton.
motor still there but the interior parts were in bad condition.
hopes this helps.

in the bigger Pick Your Part junkyard in Wilmington, there's a 1st gen (motor is gone) but it does have a black dash cover that's pretty clean. :bigthumb:

Meiogirl 07-27-09 03:08 PM

there should be a junkyard 411 sticky, lol

shoneeko 07-27-09 04:11 PM

thx for the heads up up hozzman. This saves a lot of us time and money:)

HOZZMANRX7 07-27-09 05:46 PM

Hey, anything to help the environment endure more pollutants than necessary.

Anyone going to either the Pyrite or San Berdo yard, PM me. There was one small thing I forgot to pull from the S5 FC that I'd appreciate if it were grabbed.

Thanks

I really need the lower lip from the front bumper (black) and grey driver seat!! haven't seen any rotaries up here in oxnard junkyards/pick a part

DivinDriver 07-28-09 10:26 AM

Hey Hozzman... did any of those SA's still have a carb in it??

HOZZMANRX7 07-28-09 12:36 PM

The one on Milliken did for sure. I'll bet all of them did thinking about it.

DivinDriver 07-28-09 03:27 PM

Guess I know where I'm headed after work, if I can get there before they close. Ugh, they close at 5:15pm... not likely. Oh, well, there's always the weekend. May still be there.

Need close visual inspection to see if it's the build I need or not.

Hey if anyone's heading that way, and sees an original SA 5-speed shift knob in XLNT condition, snag it for me!

HOZZMANRX7 07-28-09 03:58 PM

I might have one of those. Let me dig around my garage this evening.

HOZZMANRX7 07-28-09 08:09 PM

DivinD,

Regarding Pyrite SA's, courtesy of shoneeko checking that out today (so you owe him) I can confirm they both have their carbs. One a bit more dirty than the other, but all there.

DivinDriver 07-28-09 10:10 PM

Gratzi; I'll try to get over there soon.

HOZZMANRX7 07-29-09 07:39 PM

Feel free to PM me for instructions on how to send me my finders fee's. :)

DivinDriver 07-29-09 08:44 PM

Earliest I can get there is tomorrow after work, so we'll see if there's even anything left to 'find' by then. :hahano:

Any joy on the shiftknob? There's a chance to get a finder's fee!
