Motor Building Rip Off Response

Ok, from what I hear, someone ( I wont mention names) is telling people not to get there motor rebuilt by me because I rip people off and build a bad motor and install used parts instead of new parts. Let me start by saying, I have NEVER installed used parts in a motor without the customer knowing so. If a customer pays for new parts, then new parts are installed. That is how I’ve built all 15 of my motors. I have pictures of all my rebuilds to prove it. Plus customers have seen the parts I install in there motors, and where I purchase them from. Now there are two ways to rebuild a motor. One way is to go all out and buy everything new like Mazda Trix and other shops do. That’s buying new corner seals, side seals, oil control rings and apex seals. That is the expensive way to do it. Then there is the way I build motors. Budgetly. Meaning, I build a motor to where it will keep the cost down for the customer, but still do it right, and make the motor last. I make the same labor regardless weather I build one expensively or for a budget. When I tare a motor apart, I check thickness and clearances on all parts. Mazda has specs for all rotor parts that have to be met before reusing any parts. If the side seals, corner seals, and oil control rings do not meet these specifications, then I do not reuse them. Now you noticed I didn’t mention apex seals. That’s because I NEVER reuse apex seals. All motor rebuilds have new hardened apex seals installed with springs. Now in all budget build motors, all springs are replaced no exceptions. Quality Aviation rubber and parts are used. So if a customer wants to have their motor rebuilt for as little as possible, then if certain parts meet the necessary requirements to be reused, then I reuse them with the customer knowing that. So to sum up this response, out of all the motors I have rebuilt for people, not one of them has had a complaint with the motor or my workmanship. Ask around. See for yourself. All of my work is guaranteed for 12,000 miles or 1 year.
