oh for the record a lightning motor will drop in perfectly with no modification. the only modification needed is within the ecu and even that is just like a chip or something. harness and everything is the same

 

yeah ima call them tomorrow...lightning motor sounds like something in the works...and for that price i can't go wrong...im sure there warranty is pretty good too...

 

yeah im not totally sure about the price but ford motors have never been that expensive and for something stock im sure they can be had for relatively cheap

also a used lightning motor can be had for somewhere in the neighborhood of 3500$ if you look around im sure you can find one. but as for stock call summitt. and then we can get that monster in your truck and you will be all set. for far less than from the stealership.

 

just called they don't carry 5.4 on hand they can sell me the block for 500...and the rest i would have to buy...in the end with everything said its going to run me about 4500...

Now on the lightning motor thats a direct drop in? using my all my parts or do i need a new wire harness fuel injects and ecu?

Or im i using everything fromt he light motor to do the conversion...and with that said is everything going to fit

 

the mounts harness and everything is the same. there is something like a chip that needs to be changed in the ecu but thats it. remind me tomorrow we will talk to nick about it more. jon his business partner is thinking about doing this to his f15 so he has been researching it
