Holy WTF is wrong with the Gas

I was just driving by chevron and the gas price was 2.95 for regular in san leandro. I pumped at a 76 earlier and the price was 2.71. Did gas prices go up 24 cents in 3 hours or is there just something wrong with chevron?

Just watch the price of oil here.

Anytime it is projected to go up...better make a quick trip to your cheapest gas station and fill up as much as possible.

every year it's the same ****, different excuse for gas prices to go up right before springtime. stays high until fall. price controlled monopoly.

mo·nop·o·ly [muh-nop-uh-lee]
–noun, plural -lies. 1. exclusive control of a commodity or service in a particular market, or a control that makes possible the manipulation of prices.

To play off DOMFD3S link to oil price status

Here is a link to discussion on how to translate how an increase in oil price affects gas prices. in short "For every one dollar increase of the cost of a barrel of crude oil, there is an average increase of about 2.5-cents per gallon of gasoline."
