Fix it ticket lame!!!!
 

just yesterday i was in downtown Long Beach on a date (Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles), and got pulled over by a Rookie Campus Police Officer (Cal State Long Beach) for YELLOW head lamps(NOT FOG LIGHT) which according to his knowledge is considered a illegal modificationthus citing me a "Fix It Ticket". before all this happened about a year ago, in doing such a modification i did my homework check online for my state vehicle codes (CVC) and came across that i am well within the law to legally install YELLOW head lamps on my vehicle. link is below for your reference.

i had a copy of CVC 25950 on hand just in case i get a cop to make a U-Turn to tag me. sure enough he did, saw the red and blue lights, pulled over came up to my passenger side window (we were upon the freeway entrance) and asked him "what seems to be the problem?" (F.Y.I. i asked him in a really cool respectful chill manner.) and asked me for my "Driver License, Registration, & Proof of Insurance." handed it to him, took him 30 minutes came back asking my date and i if we "have any warrants?" we both replied "NO!" he went back and another police cruiser pull up behind him waited 15min this time he came back with the ticket already filled out and waiting for me to sign i asked him "why was i stop for?" and he replies to me "your front head lamp are illegal!" and i asked him what CVC did i violate and sure enough he gives me the same code i have and wrote on the ticket "VC. 25950(a) headlights must be white" i took out my copy (which i got from CA.GOV) and read it to him;

(25950. (a) The emitted light from all lamps and the reflected light from all reflectors, visible from in front of a vehicle, shall be white or yellow.) well to sum it up. yet he told me if i didn't sign it that he would arrest me and take me in.

what is your opinion on this, do i have enough evidence to beat this case??

but how though??? it states that i can legally have Yellow or White Head Lamps on my car? not including the fog lights by the way thats Section 24403, the rookie is pretty much contradicting what the CVC says. come on Wacky i thought even you knew that.

I got a fix it for my smoked tails from a Long Beach dead head cop as well. I went back the next day with a copy of the vehicle code, and he signed it off. The only issue is it still cost a $10 dismissal fee. I told the cop I'd send him a bill for the $10. :)

Dude that's not even bad. I got 7 tickets from the same cop. 5 of them at the same pull over.

but it's the principal of the thing you know i was having a good time coming out of Roscoe's with the MAMACITA<3 started driving down on broadway made a left on Redondo right on 7th street to jump on the 22 next thing you know there a Puerco flashing his red & blue and the guy like fresh out of the academy i he even still had a lot of zits on him and i was like :facepalm:

well only those who don't know the law, and don't have anything better to do than to tag guys for lame shit like lights, exhausts, or just being different. but anyways I'm going to the court house this coming friday and settle this shit with the judge and get it dismissed cause really law that was broken was to hire that rookie and put on campus police department. hhahahhahahaha cops with batons.

I wouldn't say its annoying but I don't see the point. I guess its like a style thing, kind of like body kits.

honestly i think yellow lights in general screams "pull me over i've got illegal stuff in my car" lol but yet i still have them in my fogs haha

these officers r called rookies...or in this case....noobs :lol:....on the ticket look at where the officer wrote his badge number...if its a high number (around 1k 2k 3k) then its a rookie officer...lower numbers r officers that know what they're doing and focus on "real" shit

unfortunate man. sorry to hear that a rook got the better of you. there are no principles with cops.. however if i was you and i knew that the cop was totally in the wrong. i would have been like "so take me to jail. i gaurentee you it will be your last task as an officer when the news hears that you arrested me for no reason." not to mention the 1st thing a cop is suppose to do is tell you is WHY he pulled you over before asking for your info. tsk tsk.

i called today at his campus department and i told them the situation and they said that i should come over and show them that copy i have cause they don't have enough time to look up anything right now i was like yeeeeeeeaaaaaah right:gayboy:

Actually, that would be the BEST thing you could do. Ask to make an appointment with the cops duty sergent. Heck, if it were me (I've done this) I'd go straight to the Captain or Chief. Dress like your going to church. Officials in uniform respect you even more if you go out of your way to show them extra respect.

Take the ticket, copy of the Vehicle Code so to show this isn't a he said she said thing, but something very black and white factual.

With something so obvious, they could perhaps take care of it at the stations level and avoid you the court hassle and dismissal fee. You could also bet that the cop will be having a "discussion" with his boss which would send the rook a message that he can't always expect to get away with abuse like that. Might help make the rook smarter so he doesn't step in the cow dodo again. Old saying that applies here. Don't get mad, get even, but in the smart way.
