We are coming out to LA the first week in October and staying with my friend in Redondo for the first couple of nights then checking into the conference hotel in Universal City for the next few.

Hit me up with somethings to do over the weekend. My wife has never been to LA so looking to show her some stuff and hit some good restaurants and night spots and do some driving around and stuff during the day and maybe try and get into a game show taping or something like that.

you should go cruise Malibu or Glendora mountain road. great scenery.

also go to hollyweird. theres plenty of random **** there.

 

if youre into like science **** you should go to the griffith observatory in holloywood, its pretty badass there and its free to get in, as we rotary people are cheap

if you're in the Santa Monica area take her to the pier and then maybe over to Houstons for some grub. Pretty trendy and popular with the Santa Monica hipsters. If you got at dinner time, expect a wait.

since it sounds like you've got a car, take a trip up the PCH -- it's always a show stopper. If you want to eat by the beach up in malibu, I recommend "The Cove" I've seen more famous people there than I can list. Jessica Simpson for starters. We take out of town folks there and has never been a miss.

As for clubs, there's lots of them in hollywood. Just don't look for a sign. None of the good clubs advertise or have signs. Drive until you see a line.


Gameshows in LA can be tricky. It's usually first come, first serve and that usually involves getting in line in the wee hours of the morning. Even then you're not certain you will get in. If you're gonna be in town for a good bit then I say try it.. but for a weekend, you're probably not gonna get in.


Hollywood Blvd is sorta cool... I guess. It's the place with the hollywood walk of fame (the stars on the sidewalk) It's honestly a 30-45min stop... unless you're either 1)into tattoos 2) into tourist shops 3)into people dressed up in costumes 4)bored. It's a must see but it's really a lot of over-hype.
