broken stud; good shop recommendations near San Diego?
 

I was in the process of replacing the water pump but have hit a snag. The stud on the right most part of the water pump (facing the engine from the front) snapped. On top of that, the remaining studs seem to be bent in such a way that the housing won't come off.

I'm thinking this is where I bow out and bring the car to a shop. Does anybody have any recommendations as far as where I should take the car? The engine was running fine so I don't necessarily have to go to a rebuild specialist.

It's an 89 turbo if that matters at all.

I have most of the parts, short of a couple of odds and ends that are on their way. I don't have replacement studs either.

Did the stud break on the front plate or the water pump housing?

I believe it broke on the front plate. I'll take a couple of pictures later this evening to clarify.

The second image details both of my problems. You can see the leftmost stud on what I believe is the front plate has broken. The top image shows the rest of it. I thought it was supposed to be a bolt? It's the same one that bolts to the end of the alternator tensioner bracket. That's not the only problem, the housing doesn't come off. It gets stuck at a point maybe just a little bit more forward of where it is in the picture. It'll slide back onto the engine okay, but I can't get it off leading me to believe that at least one of the remaining studs has bent somewhat. I'm not ready to take this on and would like to pay a shop to bail me out :)

I've heard things about Z-Whizz on Aero Drive, but not recently. The last time somebody mentioned them was like 2 years ago, and I was wondering if that would be a suitable place to take my FC?
