bblee 05-23-10 05:56 PM

RicerJ 05-24-10 03:06 AM

funkjaw 05-24-10 01:35 PM

bblee 05-24-10 05:24 PM

night 05-24-10 11:59 PM

might be a good excuse to visit the pick n pull there.

funkjaw 05-25-10 12:18 AM

Do you have tools or is that something that needs to be provided?

bblee 05-25-10 03:58 AM

umm i have some kind of tools but i suggest u bring some just in case i might not have what u need... as for jacks and stuff i have i it

funkjaw 05-25-10 02:07 PM

Aight I am down to help out sometime. I just have no idea how to swap an automatic transmission nor do I have a lot of free time. I work 7 days a week... Can this be an ongoing project type deal or does it need to get done all in one day?

HOZZMANRX7 05-25-10 02:22 PM

^So long as you're extra careful making sure the torque converter is mounted properly, it slides on pretty much the same (actually easier what with no pilot bearing to maneuver into) as a manual.

Prozium 05-26-10 12:38 AM

I might have to do the same thing, where did you get your tranny?......don't say willson st/way whatever that creepy street is in Stockton >.<

funkjaw 05-26-10 01:42 AM

Let me talk to my neighbor and ask him for some advice... If he gives me a decent idea of what I need to do and what tools I need to bring I am down to try and knock this out for ya.

RicerJ 05-26-10 02:30 PM

prozium do you have a manual or auto? if manual you can try manual transmission warehouse down on C st in Sac

Prozium 05-26-10 04:07 PM

RicerJ 05-26-10 04:10 PM

I have looked on line and rebuilt ones are WAY over priced......more than the car is worth...by a long shot..

I looked into pick'n pull...not sure what to do really.

as for swapping to manual, I'd love to, but I'm not sure I have the skill required to swap it out...nor the money really....

deff going to have to look into both options some more.. maybe look for a parts car that has a good tranny in it....might be cheaper:lol:

bblee 05-28-10 02:03 AM

yea if i was your i suggest you swap your tranny to stick.. if i could i would buy a stick but i cant i guess ill stick it auto.. even tho my car is auto i still love it cause its a rx7 thats y, and its still eye catching to everyone i know

teddyrx2 05-28-10 02:07 AM

you getting that help you need for this swap bro? or people just bull shitting with you?

RicerJ 05-28-10 02:31 AM

buying a tranny from a pick n pull isnt really a good idea because that tranny could be just as bad if not worse then what do you do swapping to stick would be drive shaft getting the pedal assembly and everything else that goes with a manual car
