***SAD NEWS*** Dave (Guitarjunkie28) passed away today 1/30/07****
At least we know his suffering is over. Dave did the Mazsport Turbo on my RX8 that was at SS9. And I am eternally grateful. Dave was such a helpful and good guy to work with. Well liked by my kid, dog, and wife, something that just doesn't happen.
RIP Dave. You will be missed.

I mean this with absolutely the utmost respect, but I say it because I think his death should mean something. And by that, I mean please slow down and wear seat belts. It's horrible to lose someone like this especially when it could have been prevented.
So for the sake of everybody, especially yourselves, use proper protection when driving so, God willing, we don't ever have to have a thread regarding someone dying again.

This is a sad day in the rotary community. I never knew Dave personally, but I always found him to be very knowledgable and willing to help everyone. My sincere condolences to his friends and family.

Wear your seat belts people!! And above all, dont drive reckless and endanger the lives of others. Too many good people die because they drive irresponsibly and lack consideration for fellow drivers on the road.
We all have driven reckless at times and put others at risk. Now that Im a little older and hopefully wiser, I understand how fragile life really is.
My prayers go out to Dave's family and to the girl who's in critical condition.
This is the last thing I wanted to see when I got off work this morning.
I expected to read some funny threads in the West Section like I always do and Dave was always in the middle of them. It is new for me to get choked up about somebody's passing that I had never even met in person. But for some reason as I am writing this, I find myself sad that I lost a possible future friend that I never will meet face to face.
Dave was one Belligerent ****. Good bye Dave.

I think too many people are getting hung up about never having met Dave. If people can fall in love over email and IM, you sure as hell can have a friend over a discussion forum. To those that are unsure, I'm sure that Dave considered you a friend. Even if he didn't know you, just knowing him from his threads is enough to call him a friend. I'm just saying that you should feel what you feel without thinking about how much you think you knew him. If you're sad, he was your friend.
Scotty, that's a great idea. I think there are a lot of people that would like to help her and her family as well. If you find her contact info, maybe you shouldn't post it up for everyone to see (just keep it to PM), and start a new thread so everyone knows about it?
