Posting in the classified section

I am interested in one of the vehicles being sold in the the classified section, however I do not have the appropriate number of posts required to reply to threads in the section. Is it appropriate to PM the original poster in lieu of being able to post directly?

you should be able to PM after THREE posts.

BUT any transactions that are done "out of sight via PM" are not encouraged as you have no real verification of contact,as you would have IF you posted publicly in a FS thread.

So it sounds like the best course of action is to get the required number of posts first and inquire about the sale publicly. I'm really interested in the vehicle but I'd rather go about it the correct way. Thanks!

It's a precaution that is best for the buyer.
We urge all sales or whatever to be as visible as possible and also have a rule that the Poster of an Ad can't edit after 30 minutes, just in case someone decides to change their price after a dispute.(if there IS one).
That way the price in the original ad stays and nothing can be changed.

anyhow, good luck,..and if you have extra money left over..I need another car...lol!...j/k!

Just noticed that your post count did not move, even though you posted in this section 3 times.
So this is a section that doesn't give you any post gain(like the Lounge, they don't gain posts for posting Hub-bub)
If you read the "how to Enter" sticky in the INTRO section that will help you gain posts.
