This will be in our instructions if you would have just waited to install them

This one hasn't been secured yet, but it's pretty much where the ballast will sit.

^ the ballasts can also go in the headlight bucket itself (using zip ties or double sided foam tape)

Man, I can't wait to get mine! Thinking of getting my car ready for this season makes it hard to focus on schoolwork. This is only my second season with the car.

Nice pics Jeff! As long as your lights aren't as high as the side view mirrors on cars in front of you and you aren't getting flashed by on coming traffic you should be ok. Generally you should be about 1.75-2 inch drop from the center of the projector at 25 feet.

FD3S2005, nice vids but you definitely need to aim those puppies! They're way off from what I can tell.

I just get my light. Nice work on the light. Looks like you guys put it a lot of hours for each light.

One thing I notice is that the outer lens is touching the end of the projector. Scrub (Dan), can you confirmed that it is ok? It will not melt or damage it?

Thanks
Daniels

While I am not the uber-sexy Scrub(Dan)-beast you refer to, the orientation of the outer lens is like that on all the units and won't cause any problems.

What rich said is correct. The projector lens does not transmit any significant amount of heat to the outer lens, nothing to be alarmed about. That's how tight the tolerances are in those housings.

Yeah all of the projectors touch the housing lens. Despite the fact that we use one of the most compact projectors available, the FD housing is a REALLY tight fit (like .25-.5mm) which further adds to the time it takes to construct each lamp. The projector lens is optically clear so it doesn't really get hot... it just passes light (same with the housing lens) not to mention HID;s run much cooler than halogens (35w vs 55w) so you have nearly half the heat in the first place

This isn't a nitpick by any means...

I love the lights. I'm trying to get some creative pics taken before I install them to kind of show them off a little...but being a plastic lens, over time they won't be so clear. Can we get a source for replacement if need be?

Thanks and awesome kit!

He was Talking about the glass lens on the projector itself, not the plastic lens on the headlight housing

None the less that is still a good question and we are looking into it. It wouldn't be a bad idea to have extra headlight lenses just in case.
