Got the front hubs, rotors and calipers mounted up today. Also got a nice package in the mail!!

The hubs were new from Mazda but were bare steel. The old ones were rusted out real bad so a quick coat of engine enamel should do the trick.

WOW really nice work! Definitely want to see this car finished. Looks like you are building a brand new car with all of those new parts.

Thanks. I'm hoping to have it wrapped up by the end of the month. The bay is ready for the engine. I'm just waiting on it to come back from the shop.

ZipRex 07-12-11 01:03 PM

That is some darn fine work. Where do you find the time? Can you send me some so I can fix up my silver bullet? Engine rebuild too?

shakenbake 07-15-11 06:57 PM

Wheels showed up today!!! They look even better in person.

Blackadde/// 07-15-11 07:07 PM

The suspension and body look great, I'm in the process of doing the same thing. Good luck with your build.

thetastelingers 07-18-11 03:58 PM

So YOU are the one who got those fine wheels.
Build is looking great man.

shakenbake 07-27-11 03:26 PM

Not to much going on while I wait for the motor. I did get in my wheel decals and started messing around with the new fender roller.

Where'd you source your brake rotors?

Rotors came from a company no longer in business. They were part of a group buy like 6 years ago. Luckily for me they came new in a box of parts when I bought this roller.

Got the motor set in place and starting to massage the firewall to fit the FAST Intake.

Looks really good. How long til you're driving?

I hadn't seen floating hat stock sized rotors before. Totally jealous. Rishie is gonna hook me up with some slotted stockers from stoptech.

I think you might be in the market for a big brake kit with all that power on tap LoL!

They are not stock size. they are the JDM RZ Spec size. The calipers have longer mounting legs to accept the larger rotors front and back.
