So..cliff notes..hook up rack..SLAM..wrong direction of hoses?..fixed.
Put hoses on POOSH..blow a seal in the steering shaft on the rack.
Hunt down a Friggin seal kit..Change seal..POOSH..again.WTF???

NOW I got a 3 port rack going in and according to a Diagram the TOP port closest to the Shaft is the Return...second port..HI pressure from Pump..3rd port lowest to Nut on rack is LO pressure return (which should be able to be plugged).

IF you remember the First attempt, the HI pressure from the pump WAS hooked up originally to the Rack and pump as it "should be"..BUT it slammed the rack.
This is what gave me the "maybe the lines are crossed" theory.

Does anyone KNOW with 100% certainty how to hook up a 3 port(block a port off on the rack) to a FORD 302 Pump which only has one HI and One return on the pump???

I'm sort of perplexed at this moment and believe it may be due to me not paying attention to the install.
When you have a engine IN and gotta lift it in order to install the transfer lines on the rack I could have inadvertently switched the lines..THEN when that showed up as a "mistake" I could have made it worse by thinking the Main hoses from the pump were swapped.
There is pretty well no room to maneuver stuff under there. You are working half blind.
The reason for removing and replacing the transfer lines is that they snake through the V8 Cradle. No way to get around it.

SOOOO..I got the new rack to put in,,and this time pay attention to the transfer lines, making sure that the lines go to the correct port on the shaft casing..Then put the Main hoses where they should be and we will try that..Again.

If not I got a idea to run manual rack.
The only thing about running manual though is in the long run it costs money to re-route the belt on the engine and take out the Power steering pump.
Nothing is cheap no matter which way you slice it.

I would double check that the PS pump does not over pressurize the system.
