my 82 v8er

so some of you were wondering in other threads what was done to my car. I had posted some pictures of my other sa22 in another build thread a while back and had never updated anyone on the new car. These are some older pictures when i had first gotten the car running back las december. since then ive done a lot, but as you whish to know what was done back then...... ill post it.

i had done a 100 percent stock small block ford efi swap which i built and pieced together my self. it ran 14.2 at 100 with a 6500da. i dynoed 205 hp and 265 tq. i had a built ford 8.8 rear end housing that i had purchased from grannys speed shop and put in some 3.73' richmond gears with a 5 lug disc brake conversion. its 100percent emmisions legal ( even in cali). i HAD 295/18/35's on the rear and 255/18/35's on the front in which i did use wheel spacers only for the front. they were ruff racing wheels with some crap ass backspacing. i converted my fuel tank to an in tank pump 255 walbro setup and swaped out all the suspension for a full racing beat setup with tockio blues. other than that thats pretty much all it shows in the following pictures. i was have new pictures of my turbo setup, my painted car, new wheels and fc brake kit, along with the crush velvet interior in the followling weeks.

Okay. I'll speak up. Looks.............. I'll be nice. Any real reason you opted for the 5.0? I'm kinda liking the rear rolled fenders.

Not a fan of the boingers in the RX series, but it doesn't detract from it being a wonderfully well built car. Good job mate!

whoever told you the wheels looked good, they lied, you should look for some sort of replacement immediately.

lol, i know, i know...... it looked like le terrible. i totally agreed hence the immeadiate change hahahaha. i chose the v8 for several reasons. i hate mustangs and i happen to have one.... bang for buck nothing compares. parts for the motor are easier to find and there seems to be a lot of info thats a lot easier to access than trying to build my 12A. Not knocking on rotarys at all ( there pretty cool in my oponion) but it got real tiring real quick after the car had had its third 12A in four months....probably just user error lol. i will say that comparativly, my other white car ran for a year and a half with absolutly no issues..... and i cannot complain about that!

heres a pic of the old car.

I think you missed the point of what he said, I think he was saying get rid of the Mexi style wheels (sticking out 3 inches all around) and get some proper fitting wheels/tires.

If your tires arent getting traction get better tire compound, dont just go wider...
