GFRENCH 11-28-18 12:30 PM

ok i have seached and searched on line even pmed a few listers in the 2nd gen for sale and even posted a wanted in the parts section.
see my problem is here in canada in about 2002 or 03 scrap metal was at a all time high so all yards crushed all old cars.
i have even downloaded the 4 lug dia and a 5 lub x 4.5 dia and the circle is so close that one hole is 1/32 off. so i thought about drilling to 5 x 4.5 and mount studs in stock hubs.
ever hear of anyone doing this?
thanks
gordie

Maybe it would work?? I assume you are trying to match the rear 5 lug? I am doing a Ford 8.8 very soon too

Freeskier7791 11-28-18 01:41 PM

need to update this...Engine is rebuilt with aluminum stock heads, Comp CC503 cam, 1.6 Roller Rockers. Also put 17s on it and now it goes drifting. I am doing lots of work this winter, going to a Ford 8.8 rear axle and FC knuckles. I have also picked up a bunch of sponsors and started making Youtube Videos, here's the link to my Channel

Yes thanks for your info on the YouTube channel wow car is hot
Rear axles are 5x 4.5 as I am using sn95 mustang rear rotors and calipers .these will use handbrake as well
Also way more wheel options in 15' 16 and 17 inch rims

glad you like my videos, I need to update this forum more! I agree 5 lug has way more options

Freeskier7791 11-29-18 07:11 AM

I also built some tubular, adjustable rear links, and drop brackets to help with the binding. They made a huge difference!! I went from destroying bushings in a few hours to no damage at all!

ATC529R 11-29-18 08:52 AM

I remember seeing your youtube video a while back on those brackets and it's nice work.

Do you have any measurements for the radiator? Ride looks awesome btw

Glad you like it! I will get measurements tonight, but I wanna say it is a 19x17 core or something like that

Ron Davis aluminum radiators for racing, offroad, performance street car, and other custom applications

this is what it is if it came from granny

I've seen where they come from but $600 for a radiator is ridiculous. I can have one locally made for ~$150 exactly how I want/need it.

I asked to have a ballpark measurement for mock up, I have a large weiand blower that I won't know hose/fan placement on until the belt and serpentine setup is done.

Freeskier7791 12-04-18 02:16 PM

Ron Davis makes good radiators, but I think that there is a mark up buying from Grannys. I would buy direct from Ron Davis if you want the one I have. 150 is a good deal for an all aluminum rad

It's a good looking radiator no doubt but I'm running an old Weiand 177 on a carbed SBF and the belt setup is a joke. Was just wondering what the ballpark measurements are so I can put a cardboard box in there and play around with fan placement and what not. Unfortunately I have no original parts other than the chassis to work with. Would be far more beneficial to use a custom radiator in my setup

Much appreciated. So the overall is like 24" wide?

Yes I think like 23 3/4" or something like that. You do have to cut a bunch of sheet metal to make it fit though especially if you need a lot of room for the blower pulley

Yeah I noticed the angled mounts. I plan to fold some of that steel back and re brace it to make a hanger for it. But I need to get everything in first to see where the hoses will go.
