LT-1 exhaust questions
 

Im wondering what others have done with success on thier exhaust systems on LT1 V8's in a first genaration RX-7. I have the LT-1 installed in my 1982 RX-7 finally and want to reuse the stock exhaust manifolds for several reasons. The stock manifolds have a 02 sensor on each one and they also have a PCV fitting. They also exit down and to the rear whick looks like it will work with some minor relocating of things. Im wonder if people bought pre bent pipes and welded thier own? What type of muffler was used and if your happy with it? What size pipe was used with good ground clearnace after both exhaust pipes merged? Im also looking at how close the fuel supply and return lines are to the drivers side exhaust manifold...theres no way to move then further away. So I'm considering wrapping the exhaust in that erea with header wrap and protecting the fuel lines also. I don't want to buy headers..dont feel I need any more horsepower. Thanks for any suggestions.
