For LS engines look up "poorboy" headers. They are BBK 1 3/4" Mustang long tubes for the 94/95 5.0 cars.

Here is the jist..You get the headers and a set of LS flanges, cut off the Ford flanges, expand the rectangle pipes round again and weld them to the LS flanges.

There you go.. cheap headers. You'll want to have your engine and probably trans mounted too so you can mock them up correctly for the proper fit. You'll need to clearance the lower firewall and floor area on the passenger side for sure, and probably a bit on the driver side.

I already have the engine and trans mounted, with stock headers. Just can't see sending so much for headers. Not to much of a fan of bbk. Going to try out some Herman headers and report back on the progress.

you can also use chevy belair hooker competition (55-57 i think) headers, i bought a pair for 75 bucks and modified them to work on my 6.0/t56 they are 1 3/4 longtubes.... they are not perfect but they work great and are cheap and sound awesome !
