Sweet transmission setup. :)

Can't wait to see some videos.

Still dying to hear that whining transmission... I've wanted a cut gear transmission for a long time, I think one of these days I'm going to have to drop the coin and do it.

Thing is going to be awesome!

Ready to rock!

rotary-guy 02-12-11 08:04 PM

Floor boards..no, but my frame rails right under the doors are, I suspect same reasons.

-Yeah the rails are bent on mine and the floor boards are like a fucking waffle...

I think next off season I'm going to cut them out and re-do them -as well as the trans tunnel... It is hammered to shit in order to fit my trans.

+1 what happened?

gearhead670 03-16-11 03:28 AM

i put a muncie (m-21) in my last car and the linkage was super close to the transmission tunnel ---im sure you had to do plenty to get those heim joints to fit within the tunnel ---i removed the lumpy sheetmetal inside the tunnel and it clears-not by much but it clears---putting a m-22 in the car im building now--they have flat cut gears as well(going behind my 462bbc) ............jason

lost oil pressure... only ran it for maybe 20min... sucks.

My builder thinks the engine might have been hurt when I bought it... I had blasted the oil pan so I thought that did it -turns out there were other issues that blasting material could not have caused -back to square one. Engine should be done this week.

Yeah I bashed and hacked the trans tunnel up pretty good. Next off season I wanna just cut it all out and fab something nice up.

muibubbles 03-31-11 03:20 AM

nice cage

RotaSpinna69 04-04-11 12:39 AM

How does the trans mount compared to the original location?

sunburn 05-04-11 05:10 PM

ProjectD 05-05-11 01:15 AM

LOL I never noticed the couplers until now... lets see this bad boy in action I've been watching this build from day one. Keep it up.

sunburn 05-07-11 05:09 AM

great build.... I assume there are no cooling issues even on the track? That radiator looks massive, but not really ducted.

highest water temp I saw all day was about 210* :icon_tup:

One of he benefits of that set-up is I can run a huge fan -no clearance issues. I have a 3000cfm 16" Flex-a-lite set to come on at 180* -works great!
