I searched but could not find the exact answers I needed.

I need to know out of the 13b engine harness, what do I need to keep for my V8 swap? I've heard things like windshield wiper motor and some ground wire for a buzzer inside the car. What else and how do I pinpoint which ones they are? I'm selling the motor/tranny, harness, computer in 2 days and I need to know before then what I need to keep out of it. Thanks :bigthumb:

If this is an FC then the entire wiring harness coming out of the firewall on the passenger side can be removed. Keep the wires that feed the wiper motor (easily identifiable when you unwrap the electrical tape on the harness). The brown/white wire is the low coolant buzzer. Find it... label it and ground it. No annoying buzzer.

If you are asking about the engine harness attached to the engine.... nothing. It would be wise to pull out the coolant temp and oil pressure sensors if you plan to make the stock guages work. Not that the stock coolant temp guage tells you anything anyway (meaning install an aftermarket gauge).

Go to Torquecentral.com in the v8rx7 section use the SEARCH button. You need to narrow your questions down with type of RX-7, carb'd or EFI engine, smog controls needed, and other things. As suggested spend a few HOURS using the search button and educate yourself. The question has been answered countless times.

Good luck with your project. You are breathing new life into your FC (I assume from sig) and will grin ear to ear when you take it for your first spin. These little cars become monsters with triple the torque.

this is the kinda help i need! i am on torquecentral as well but there's hardly anyone on to help out most of the time. searching nets few results as always for me. so you are saying i can pull out the whole harness/wiring out of the firewall but then here's where it gets shady. from the wiper motor the wires go where? to the computer through the inside of the harness? if the computer comes out then what makes the wiper motor work? again, the coolant buzzer... if i find it and ground it like you said where is the other end of the wire? so does this mean that the guy buying the harness will have an unwrapped mess of wires? here's where i need details to make this as easy as possible. after all, we signed on here to get answers/help from others and if searching for other peoples threads doesnt help then we're stuck like chuck... ya know. thanks in advance

oh and it's an 87 RX-7 non turbo. I'm going with a carb'ed 350 with turbo 350 trans. all manual. manual steering, no a/c, electric fans, water pump etc. etc. the car is a manual but converting to auto. i want the very least inside the engine bay. this car is for one purpose only and thats drag racing. it's not my daily driver. i'm thinking i might even take the wiper motor out because i'll never drive it in the rain.

As far as I know with the coolant ground wire dave...is that when it is grounded...it should never go off. But since this will be a drag car....arent you going to strip all/most of the interior out of the car anyway? If so...then just remove the buzzer ( i cant remember where it is located though).

I pulled the harness and computer out this morning but have a question...

I want to know what all of these plug-ins are for that I have arrows pointing to and if I am going to be needing them for anything.

The highlighted wires went to the heater blower that I took out.

I know that one yellow plug went to the computer for the instrument cluster i believe?
