Bolt in tubular lsx k member for fc rx7

BOLT IN FC RX7 TUBULAR K MEMBER WITH CHEVY LS MOUNTING OPTION - FOR SALE!

So, Here are the details:

Tubular K member that will fit a FC RX7.
Option of Chevrolet LS motor mounts or no mounts at all
Option of poly or solid motor mount bushing
Made with DOM tubing with TIG welded construction
All new hardware included.
Will power coat at extra cost to buyer - $150 add on
K Member with mounts weighs 24lbs.

** NO swaybar was used when designing this component. I am unsure if a swaybar will work with this setup**

Price: $1,000 with mounts / $900 NO LS mounts

I am going to start taking orders for these. As you can see from above there are some options if you are interested. We offer the subframe with no mounts for those of you looking to swap in something other then an LS or those of you that are keeping the rotary. You would simply bolt the K member in and design your own mounts off of the landing pad the K member has built into each side.

I list the weight at 24 pounds. That is with solid bushings and containing the LS mounts as pictured. The old K member that was removed with the LS mounts attached weighed in at 33 pounds. That is a 9 pound loss going to the new K member.

Although the weight savings is nice, i had the K member designed to clean up the look of the engine bay and open up some room as well. The worst part of my swap was how the old stock k member looked. This cleans up the engine bay and removes the old eye sore. All with the simplicity of unbolting the old one and bolting this one in.

If there are any questions feel free to message me with any questions and comments and i will do my best to answer.

Are you a vendor on this forum?

Daroot 04-18-18 11:06 PM

Nice! I will definitely keep you saved for my fc here in the future

Fel88_Witlo 04-23-18 11:55 AM

I was wondering the same thing cause I would be looking for something like this to clean up my swap.

Phish806 04-24-18 10:29 AM

I am not a vendor on this site. After I made this post, I contacted the site about vendor status after this post and didn't feel like it would be worth it with the pricing. I have this posted in multiple groups on Facebook. I've had people place orders though me if they are interested. Not a business, just a guy that's trying to offer a product that I had designed for myself and make a couple bucks in the process

Does the tube frame clear an fbody oil pan for removal?

Phish806 04-30-18 10:26 AM

I have been asked this by a couple of people. It is designed to work with the F body pan, however i am unsure if it can be removed with it in the car. I do not believe so. The pan hugs the steering rack. If the steering rack was removed, you may be able to then remove the pan. I have to remove the pan on my car to weld in a bung. So i am sure i will find out first hand, however i am unsure how far down the road it will be before i remove the pan.

Just to bring this up to date, i have three K members that are not spoken for at the moment. They should be done with fabrication at the end of January. If anyone wants to get their name on one of these, let me know and i we can make that happen.
