Oh you can do a lot with an SBC, but a truck motor from a suburban would probably be crying out for a better cam, heads, valvetrain, etc.

What year suburban is it?

mostly bolt in. Grannysspeedshop.com
A injected truck motor might need better heads/cam to be real fast but don't worry about it, it will have twice the power stock than your current na. Get it running and then see if you want to upgrade.

What year Suburban?

The Vortec models have decent heads, as I recall :)

Sorry Guys..the Guy Didn't say the year.(I didn't think I'd get an answer to this Question!)..I'll find out ASAP..Really appreciate the answers though.I was Figuring that the Injected Engine would be A real pain to get Running.I do remember He said it was a Vortec Engine,if that helps.I'm old school and Fiddled with Carbs growin up so EFI still rattles me..I knew about the Granny's cradle too.I like that, since I haven't welded since HIGH school..which was before the first RX7 was built..so saves me from screwin up there..lol.

Vortec would signify EFI, either TBI or Gen III based.

If it's TBI (it likely is) a carb can be adopted fairly easily, as can a distributor, if that's the road you want to take.
