Hi every one...I joined this to hopefully get good info on eng swap stuff ...I was a mazda tec..in the day/////more like yesterday ...I have been hauling around with me a gen 1 that I got back in 1993...the eng was blown...with the hopes of doing a v-8 swap ...over the years I have aquired everything I need but can no longer find eng.mounts and trany mounts ...{{{{{Granny was going to be my direction but I here they suck big time now or are no longer around because of big time sucking]]]]]]]]]]]]]] so I am here to ask for guidance it is a chevy 350 swap in a gen one.....

I have a 1980 with a gen 1 sbc and could help out with pics if it helps as I will drop the tranny in the coming weeks. Closer up pics I mean other than my build thread and The motor mounts from for that gen and bolt to a sbc are important. Some are thicker than others and you are talking close clearances. IDK about unbolting the mounts and sending part numbers, but I could measure mine, which are the ones you want……..most don’t offer thickness info…but hey Amazon, free returns.

if it’s an LS other might be more helpful. Honestly after doing amateur welding myself, I can say that it would not be that hard. You’d need the dimensions and a few bends and welds and be done. I could provide, but probably not until weekend after next when I get on that portion of my build, as I need to install new suspension calling my name.

What year sbc and what year/ tranny I’d tag?

edit: I did my own gen 2 brake conversion plates/kit-front and rear, as well as strut tower supports and more, but I suck at thought out threads as I am usually grease deep. My motor, engine mounts, driveshafts and such are from granny’s.

I will say though I posted some of this in one of my posts but no one asked. I modeled my parts in cad (zero cad experience) and printed and cut on hard plastic like cat liter 5 gallon bin. Then confirmed the fit and sent for the finished product and it was all dead on nuts perfect. Strut tower plates, rear end hold in plates, front and rear brake plates, plates by hood mount etc. did it from emachineshop……..great experience with them.

thanks for the reply I thought grannys was not around any more ..I heard some bad stuff over the years about them....my big concern is finding a oil pan that will work...I figured loose comes to draw i would just manufacture the mounts myself ,,,,,,,I am doing a 85 with a 75 350 HD putting a muncie 3 speed behind that to keep it simple and reliable figured i might have to shift once....keeping the engine old school holly 750 feeding reworked heads with manley valves exh 202 int160 roller rockers with a Z1 cam........Nothing to fancy...any links to help me track down an oil pan would be much appreciated.....thanks Gregg

I could measure my oil pan from granny’s for you. Should be the same as mine. Won’t be for a few days though as headed out to races for weekend.

Yes, florida

that pan is tight clearance and might want to be the 1st thing you do come to think of it. About 1/8 to 3/16 above the cross member……so if you did your own mounts before hand and then did my measurements it might be wrong depending on you motor mount. When I jack it up from the center of cross member it pretty much touches the oil pan. Food for thought…
