327 in a rx7!

2 Attachment(s)
I purchased a somewhat running 327 1979 rx7, and by somewhat running i mean its drives great, but i have 12+ volts of drain when the car is sitting, when it is running it runs off the battery. i have traced the wire that is causing the drain.

i have attached some pictures that should help show what is going on.

This is a first gen Rx7. it has a 327 v8 engine in it, it does not have the stock rx7 alternator in it. while the car is off all accessories are off its draining 12+ volts. while the car is running the tach is acting as a volt meter. and the voltage output on the tach ranges from 13 at idle to 14.5 when revving higher then idle.

if anyone can help me figure out where the wire that bypasses the voltage regulator goes that would be awesome! if anyone can tell me that somehow a wire got messed up and its a simple fix that would be even better!

i looked through the FSM and couldnt make heads or tales of anything in there relating to my issue. I also couldnt find anything on the forums using the search button. (maybe im looking in the wrong area? idk) any information would be helpful!

please tell me if you need anymore pictures/details to answer my question.

Red- this is where the wire that is draining bypasses the voltage regulator?
Blue- this is the wire that comes off the battery (after a fusible link)
Green- this is the wire leaving my realm of expertise and going to who knows where and draining my battery!! grrr
