tuned my TII, something must be wrong

well, yesterday i tunned my car at the dyno and i have to say this wasn't what i was expecting, i managed to get 203 whp when before i had an apex'i safc and got 220whp. my mods rigt now are: microtech lt-8,turbosmart bov, turbosmart bc,walbro255 fp, racing beat turbo back exhaust, koyo rad, 800cc secondarys, aeromotive fpr, spalm e-fan, running 11psi on stock turbo. i was expecting at least 240-250 whp. im running 13 degress at 11psi with an afr of 11.4. if someone can tell me why i got such a low dyno number ill aprreciate it.i did notice that the turbo after 5k sucks.

thanks

heres the dyno chart

two things:

1. Verify that you have ZERO boost leaks with a pressure tester, if you haven't done so. www.boostpro.net/prodtester.html sells them (universal tester) or you can easily make one out of home depot parts. Pressurize your intake, spray soapy water around, and there should be pretty much no air escaping.

2. I would advance the timing a little, if anything just to see if the motor responds at all. Try 14-15 degrees up through the peak torque area (up to 5000-5500ish rpm) then gradually advance it from there (detonation is more likely to occur in the peak torque area), you could go up to 20 degrees by 7000-7500. Obviously monitor your intake temps, knock sensor if you have one, and an EGT gauge if you have one (although some people question how useful they if they are not installed in the exhaust manifold).

How much split are you running? Less split can sometimes make more power. Conventional wisdom says 8-12 degrees of split is a good range under boost. Your AFR's aren't bad though.

Play around with the timing a little but be smart about it.

you are on stock turbo though so advancing the timing above torque peak may not really do anything. It works on some setups.

What are the compression numbers for the motor?

Haha, good question... I was thinking the same thing myself.

Yeah, something doesn't add up. My setup like his running 5.5 psi made 205 whp and 195 ft/lbs.

arghx said it very well.

I also see, that your boost level is very low around 7000rpm

About 6 psi.

yes, after 5k if you see on the dyno chart it just goes down, i probably have a boost leak, im gonna check that out.

well last time(when i mean last time i mean when it was park withouth using the car that maybe was 4 months ago) i checked the compression and it was 100 on the front rotor and 110 on the rear so i think the engine is very healthy on that aspect.

thanks
