S5TII engine & GT3574@18.5psi

Here's my sheet

Boost comes on late and lazy, turbine has eaten a few apex seals
This run was also the run where a fuel pressure issue reared its head, that why the AFR goes lean at the top. The dyno was also reading a little higher in general due to a couple small exhaust leaks and the dyno's sensor beign in the tailpipe...

@15psi it made 350
@8 psi it made 280

Not bad for unfinished tune and shit-acular boost response. Also, I could only rev to about 6000,6200RPM due to the E6X picking up noise above that.

dude that's awesome! i haven't dyno'd my 35R yet, but at 10psi and a rough tune it pulls nice. when does the boost come in? mine comes in between 3k-4k depending on how much boost, i am running an hks manifold and the WG is recirculated so my response could be better as well.

i'm glad i got the microtech, i have heard about pick up noise complaints from quite a few people and i just didn't want to deal with that. stand alones aren't cheap.

classicauto 11-22-08 09:09 AM

Well the boost is shown on the graph. But don't take my results as good at all, they're terrible. Before the turbo ate any apex seals I would get 10psi by 3500rpm, 15+ by ~4000. Now its nowhere near that after having a couple chips out of the turbine.....but check the graph, boost is in green and mapped on the right hand scale.

Also:
boost = green
AFR = black
Both read on the right hand scale

Power = red
Torque = blue
Both read on the left hand scale

FC3Sdrift 11-26-08 09:00 AM

is that on a stock S5 engine?

classicauto 11-26-08 09:22 AM

Nearly stock ports, 2mm earlier opening on the exhaust, 2mm later closing on the intakes.

Otherwise completely stock keg/manifolds, 2peice OEM apex seals.

Turbo fuel and EMS, not stock :)

FC3Sdrift 11-27-08 10:44 AM

those are pretty decent #'s, but you definitely need to work on your tune some more, gt35r should make more than 400whp easily at 18psi

i made 313whp 289ft-lbs with my S5, it was modified in japan,im pretty sure its stock ports, it has a big garrett jdm hybrid, it was with a crappy Turboxs MBC, with basically just s spike to 15psi and a crappy tune on a SAFC Neo, i'm definately goin standalone over the winter

classicauto 11-27-08 11:00 AM

Yeah, like I said the power is down due to the boost issue from the damaged turbo. Look at the graph, it doesn't hit target boost until the end of the run! LOL

Just to clarify - only the AFR readings were high - the other numbers are fine.
Also - ran another car on Sat and had a nearly identical fuel press problem - we're thinking a collapsed fuel filter? Might be something to look at.

classicauto 12-02-08 07:52 AM

Yeah, I haven't had it apart yet, but thats what I'm thinking. The filter's a year old with 20,000kms on it. And it seemed to just become a problem after 2 hours of dyno runs :)

I'll post my results in my thread though. I'm sure its something simple.
