Congrats, will check the vid when I get home!
Surprised to see a e6 series around :) |
Thanks!
Yeah its kind of oldschool today. |
I haven't seen many HX50 dyno sheets, but 6000rpm to reach full boost seems a bit excessive. I know dynos don't always spool like the car would on the street, but something seems off.
|
^ um full power and full boost are not the same thing.
But the looks of it his fully boost about 4500rpm (which is still very slow but for a big turbo that's ok ish) |
^ Exactly.
You cant see my boost pressure on the sheet. It kicks in at approx 4k and full pressure around 4,5k |
The torque curve almost always follows boost. Unless the dyno started higher in the power band, you're only making 190lb/ft of torque at 4500 rpm. Im not trying to stir shit, just saying that it seems slow.
|
I hear you.
Its like u said quiker spool up on the street compared to the sheet. But its always gonna be quite slow spool on such big old truck turbo. But in drag/streetrace it doesnt matter. More important it cand hold the power and dont fade in the high rpms. I´m about to sell the car. Otherwise I would go atleast 8500rpm and some more boost to get some higher numbers :) Mayby not a ideal setup for a track car though :-P |
Good luck selling it. It looks like a nice car, and 400hp in a street FC is a handfull!
|
Thanks :)
I had a buyer last weekend for a test drive. But 3gear gave in when I did a pull :/ So I have to find a new gerbox first. |
