What I would recommend before you spend a LOT of money going to a larger single and tube manifold and such that you do some other stuff first. First I agree that you need a FMIC/V-mount intercooler setup, Next I would snag a good electronic boost controller, it will be a noticable upgrade from the turbosmart MBC. After that I would get rid of the SAFC and get either a real standalone, or since you are short on cash maybe a Rtec 2 series. Going to a larger single setup costs A LOT MORE than most people think, and I wouldn't doubt that with better tuning, getting rid of the interheater, and having the EBC, you could gain a considerable amount of power and driveability for very little investment. But again, great numbers! Just don't blow it up now. :D BTW, do you have a graph you can post maybe? I have a friend that has almost your exact setup and I am sure he would love to see the graph. |
yea sure ill have to scan it in and then when i get a chance post it up. but thanks for the advice on everything. is their really a noticable diff with the ebc??? im suprised that the mbc actually holds the boost level and really doesnt spike as bad as i thought. as far as the rest of my setup i already have a fmic just need to do piping. and i already have a tubular mani and i was looking into the holset hx35 or hx40. what would you recommend. both are pretty afforadable and seem to be great turbos.

I do not know much about the hx35 and hx40 stuff. Sorry. I personally think that 320-370 rwhp is more than any person could need in a light street car. |
Congrats on the numbers and there's nothing wrong with a MBC. You aren't going to see a significant enough difference to justify the cost of a EBC.
The ONLY "gain" from an EBC, is the convenience of being able to adjust from inside the car. |
nice.. didnt think you could tune 1000's with an safc.. but.. MORe power to you.
Nice numbers. How was the afr's on your run? I hope your runing hella rich because you are not tunning the timing. |
round 12-1 or so any where between 11-3 to 12-2
