Dyno 348 horse/279 torque @ 14 psi on Rtek 2.1

Went to a dyno day on Saturday and with the new injectors and different turbo I wanted to see what it would do @14psi. The first run was at 10psi then the rest was at 13-14psi. There is probably more in the setup, but I'm just using a map that I made from using other peoples base maps and from reading around the forum. The AFR's where around the mid 11's. I still have to get around to leaning it out some around 4700 rpm and richening it up a few points at around 5400 rpm

how is the RTEK 2.1 work for you? im kinda curious about it

willub and company 04-08-08 03:52 PM

really nice. is this on a stock port?

jm93rx7 04-08-08 05:19 PM

Looks good.

arghx 04-08-08 06:46 PM

I'm impressed that you made that kind of power with the stock AFM. Did you use the new MAP based timing feature?

Silverfc88 04-09-08 08:09 PM

I like the 2.1. Its farely easy to tune and having a way to log some runs is awesome.

Stock ports

Yes i'm using the MAP based timing.

arghx 04-10-08 11:37 AM

how many degrees of advance at peak boost and at what split? Did you have a flat advance curve or gradually increase timing near high rpm, past torque peak?

willub and company 04-10-08 02:05 PM

wow i am really impressed that you made those numbers on a stock port at only 14 PSI. I will be tunning within the next couple months on a pretty much identical setup so now i can hopefully expect something along the lines of this.

My timing is flat above peak torque. I might try to raise it a degree or two though, but I don't know how much of a difference it will make.

13 degrees split is on the conservative side. Most run 8-12. Looks pretty good though.

Is that 92% injector duty-cycle number accurate? What FPR and pump are you running? Either way, nice numbers and nice ride!

docmar 04-13-08 01:58 AM

Looks pretty good your diagram.

Perhaps you should try, 1 or 2 degrees up, after peek torque and yes, a few degrees less split .

Very nice .

From what I can tell its accurate. I'm running a Walbro with a Aeromotive FPR. I'm happy with it right now and if I want more then I'm going to have to figure something out with the injectors. I ride around with just 10-11 psi anyways and its more than fast enough to have fun with. :)

Maybe even adding some kind of meth/water injection could be in the future.

nice what turbo are you runnin?

NJGreenBudd 04-13-08 08:00 PM

sweet, looks nice man. I finally got to drive my FC with your old turbo and it's awesome. Keep up the good work man.

Nice

stock ports?

Silverfc88 05-05-09 04:24 PM

Yes on stock ports.

I'm not running the Masterpower turbo anymore. Went to a Turbonetics 60-1.

junito1 05-06-09 10:40 AM

any difference?

Silverfc88 05-06-09 11:12 AM

I don't see to much of a difference. Maybe a little more torque. I went to the Turbonetics because the oil seal went on the Masterpower turbo and it couldn't be rebuilt for some reason.

Here is the chart with the Turbonetics 60-1 with a .81 rear housing.

rotorican85 05-06-09 11:24 AM

nice numbers. almost same setup i am using except i got a turbonetics 62-1, .81 a/r also.
last dyno session i clocked 348 @11psi before some engine gremlins reared their ugly face. but mine is street ported and 850/1600 injectors. looking to go back soon and strat turning up the boost on mine!! 400+ on pump is my goal and +/- 525 on race mix.
but on stock ports, those are nice numbers!! congrats.

junito1 05-06-09 06:19 PM

from what ive read... .81 rear housing is too small.

sc0rp7 05-28-09 07:01 PM

too small for what? depends on what you are using the car for... .81 rear housing is commonly recommended for a good spooling street turbo...
