before/after Haltech E6K: trip to the track :)

stock ecu... 1/8th mile time: 8.90@81.08mph
haltech/tuning... 1/8th mile time: 8.18@85.01mph
haltech/tuning... 1/4 mile time @13.02@100.28mph

on the stock ecu i was running ~10psi.
with haltech, i'm running ~13psi
with haltech in the 1/4 mile, the stock TMIC was getting so hot in 4th gear that the haltech would pull the timing back. so in the middle of 4th gear, the timing would get pulled back and i'd have to early-shift (at like 5500rpms) into 5th gear which left me finishing the race at like 4500 rpms... hence the decent 1/8th mile trap speed as compared to the crappy 1/4 mile trap speed, since the ecu wasnt pulling timing til the second half of the track.
time for an FMIC!

wow, you shaved a good amount on your 1/8th! i looked at the 1/8th versus quarter and thought you should be running faster. apparently you know that. :) nice runs!

RXciting 10-31-04 11:45 PM

yea all that and still a 13 flat very nice

get that FMIC on and take her back to the track :D

86gxlsp 11-01-04 10:40 PM

definatly time for a fmic

jacobcartmill 11-02-04 01:01 AM

13.0@100 = basically letting off 50 feet before the finish

SonicRaT 11-02-04 04:57 AM

Why? Bracket racing?

Ocelot 11-02-04 11:54 AM

No, read his first post, he had no choice.

gsracer 11-02-04 03:15 PM

That's one hell of a launch on street tires. I know the azeni's are a very sticky tire, but they have ultra stiff sidewalls which usually does not allow for very nice drag launches.

haltech was pulling timing due to intake temps right before 100mph. so i had to shift to 5th :(

yeah thats what i thought, but i didnt a 1-2 second burnout in the waterbox, rolled up to the line, and DAMN it launched hard.. the 60ft time was 1.83

kevin landers rebuild + kevin landers streetport (read: medium primaries, large secondaries)

87RX7TII 11-03-04 03:10 PM

you have a 13.02 with those few modds... still very nice!

Mark'sMazda 11-05-04 12:19 AM

wow, very impressive times.

does your s5 turbo hold 13psi to redline? mine bleeds down to 7-8 after about 5500:(

jacobcartmill 11-05-04 12:56 AM

no it hits 13psi and bleeds down to about 8 by redline :( if i could hold 13psi i'd be running 12.5's at like atleast 110.

Mark'sMazda 11-05-04 01:04 AM

yeah, I know how it goes, i can feel the power dropping off at higher rpm..i have a s5 ported motor in an s4 base.

what size tires are you running 215's? what was your launch technique?

jacobcartmill 11-05-04 03:13 AM

the tires are falken azenis sports, 215/45/16... and the azenis have a very stiff sidewall, i'm surprised they hooked up as wel as they did.

my launch technique was just slipping the clutch fast from about 4500 rpms.

87RX7TII 11-07-04 05:41 PM

why is your car so fast with those modds.. I'd like to hit high 13's if I were lucky

jacobcartmill 11-07-04 05:45 PM

haltech.

more boost, more fuel, more timing.
