539whp / 407wtq - EFR 9180 IWG 13BT TII
I posted it up in my build thread, but I figured I'd repost it here.
I dyno'd my car for the first time last weekend. Car did well - didn't get hot or have igniton break up, or spray apex seals out the mufflers. Can't ask for much more than that. Ultimately, the care made 539whp at 25.5psi and 407wtq at about 26.5psi. I had trouble getting a flat curve with the internal wastegate and wasn't able to get it completely flat before we had to finish up. Wastegate duty cycle was set soft in the low range which is why spool up is so slow. It makes 20 psi by 3500 if I turn the DC% up, but we were walking a fine line of over/under boosting on the dyno and left it soft for now. We actually hit 305kpa boost cut a few times around 4500rpm when trying to make changes to the boost curve. Not sure what the torque was, but I’m sure it was a big jump. Pretty amazed by how well water injection worked. Next step will be to get closed-loop boost control working on the street and pick up some serious low end and top end power Overall, I’m pretty happy with the power the car makes. It’s a handfull on the street. Zero traction in 1/2nd gear. 3rd hooks up okay, but definitely moves around a lot. Everyone that rides in the car can’t believe how long the power band is. It just keeps pulling and pulling. Here is a quick rundown of the setup: Engine:
ECU:
Intercooler:
Exhaust
Turbo:

Solid numbers! congrats. Interesting aftercooling setup, cool build.
This was just pump fuel + water @26 psi? |
Yes, 93 octane (AKI) and 400-500 cc/min of distilled water.
|
What are you using to control the water injection?

I'm actually using the ECU to pulse the pump. The Megasquirt has a 3D map that outputs pump duty cycle by psi and rpm. It's super easy and can be tuned from the laptop. I also have an AEM water meth gauge that gets data logged so I have an idea of how much water it's using. |
Was this on pump fuel? Or corn? I assume pump due to using meth.
|
Pump 93 octane and water only. No meth.

very nice. I have a very similar long block and I'm running s5 upper and lower intake manifold. And a t51r Kai kit. I'm expecting similar results. This is why I asked. Good numbers for pump man

one thing I am debating is running a dual egt setup. I'm not a fan of tapping my manifold. And I'm trying to decide if the s5 lim since it's far superior to s6 of it's needed with my setup. Just for monitoring/tuning capacities.
any thoughts? |

any thoughts? I'd use whatever manifold you already have lol |
