Anyhow this was my first time at the track, I think my biggest problem was that I kept rolling forward when I was staging, which was killing my reaction time. Below are my mods.

also only 5 pounds of boost!

not bad for only 5psi put some slicks on it though lol

Reaction time is not added to your ET. Good time, I know a local guy that ran the same but with stock everything and the full RB system but at like 6-7psi.

Yeah , I don't know why I said reaction time, the rolling forward thing is really screwing up my launch. My 60ft times were horrible, like 2.2sec or something. I think next time I'm going to try to slightly hold the parking brake and release it right when I launch.

what should I expect for a good 60 ft time? Assuming I hook up and don't wheel hop.

Dont quote me on this but i think 1.6-1.8 is a good reaction time.

0 is a good reaction time
2 flat should be easily doable repeatly on street tires on the 60
learn to launch - there is no reason why you arent at the <13.5 with your setup... i did 13.23@103 with rb exhaust, a power fc, stiff ass coilovers... stock tid/intake/intercooler/clutch/stock sized kdw tires/stock everything...


reaction time does not affect the ET at all.
if you keep rolling, just pull the ebrake up.

1.6-1.8 are GREAT 60 ft times on street tires.. My best so far is a 1.50 on slicks

You guys are talking about different things. 1.6-1.8 60' times are good, 1.6-1.8 is not good reaction time.

Either way 14 sec quarter is damn good on stock turbo at 5psi... I'm slightly skeptical, not to be an ass but Fack, all I could muster was 14.5 with hybrid turbo, and 223 hp. :dunno:

Your 60 ft should be under 2 sec. maybe a 1.8? I can pull a 2.1-2.2 in my stock 85 GSLSE with clogged cats.

@Nick, What's your elevation? That has an impact on your times as well. A car will run faster in New Orleans as compared to a car with the same set up in denver.

I never had it on the dyno, but i did run 14 and the turbo is a stock s5 turbo. What is your setup?

I would imagine you could pull that 233whp on the stock turbo with not too much effort. Sometimes it is the smallest detail that can make all the difference.

Also I mentioned it to someone, but I found later that I had one of my primary injectors switched with one of my secondaries, which was making it run rich until 3500 rpms.

And right now both of my 7s will run the quarter as fast as I can push them down the track since one has a blown rotor and the other has an extra rotor but isn't finished yet.

Well, I was on stock clutch and shitty tires, maybe I can blame it on those... ;)

Stock boost ~7 psi.

yeah, my clutch was slipping pretty hard and I have a ACT HD clutch. I think a lot of that had to do with it being constantly partially engaged.

What was the difference between the first and second time slip? I notice your 60 time and 1/8 mile time in the second one was worse but you were going faster by the 1/8th mile.

As far as 60 ft times are concerned you do appear to be in the same boat as me, I would think you would be faster with your mods though. I also think you would make more power too???

With that amount of power you should be running about 13.5 assuming you have a 2800 pound car with driver, cut those 60ft times and you should be there. But I think that setup could do better.
