13.70 on stock block, turbo, topmount, rtek 1.7

just wondering how my run compares to other out there, i think i did pretty well

R/T-.677
60-2.251
330-5.895
1/8-8.919
mph-81.76
1000-11.515
1/4-13.707
mph-102.64

this was my 10th run of 14
i was launching at 4.5K rpms, spinning a little bit but catching traction about 6K rpms. boost was dropping to 10psi around 6K rpm

car: 88 SE with full tII drivetain swap
rtek 1.7 ecu, 720cc secondarys, walboro 255, asjustable fpr set to 42 PSI, k&n cone filter, 3" turbo back exhaust, twin scroll removed, ported wastegate, bov, manual boost controller set to 13 PSI, modified throttle body, premix, no emmisions, no a/c, no p/s, E-fan, FD alt, msd 6a, msd wires, full suspension, "stage 3" 6 puck sprung clutch, 245/45-17 continentals for rear tires, 235/40-17 yoko s-drives up front

stock topmount intercooler, stock turbo, stock ports, whatever tune comes on the rtek, full interior, 2598 lb's with a full tank of gas plus another 170lb for me

disclaimer!: i killed my motor later that night on this setup, so yes i know running untuned was a poor choice. i have a standalone, wideband, front mount, and big turbo ready to go in once i find/build a new motor.

Practice coming off the line...I was able to achieve 60' times in the 1.9 range on 245 street tires.

Will just take more seat time and practice balancing the clutch.

So did you blow your motor?

That sucks the engine died.. I thought Rteks did ok with 10psi?

13.7 is pretty good.
When I had my Rtek 1.8 I ran during the spring time with my stock turbo and stock block and did a 14.2, my 60 time was 2.2 also. It was on 215 tires though.
Engine might have died from boost creep, just guessing. Having 550cc prim 720cc sec, 13psi is pushing it on duty cycles

Even w/boost creep (and it couldn't be much from a stock turbo) is surprising to be the cause of failure w/the 1.8. 4 x 720 cc injectors @ 42 psi is enough to support 350 crank HP safely (w/proper gear of course) good for 105+ mph . It might have been loosing fuel pressure.

My stock engine, a Superchip, stock inlet, open exhaust, set @ 13 psi (per Superchip), and slippy stock clutch did 14.0 @ 102 on a cool comfortable day. Boost would drop off as it near'd red line due to the restrictive inlet plumbing. Eventially died but likely due to me experimenting w/more boost on a very warm day at the track.

I now have the 1.8 w/ proper hardware and a hybrid turbo. I'm set @ 41 psi static fuel pressure and 14 psi boost. The duty cycle stay's below .8. I haven't timed it yet, but I assure you it will leave my prior setup in the dust.

Car's dry weight is 2750 lbs.
