1/4 mile times for '86 Sport
I'm not a drag racer, but I usually take each new car to the drag strip after it is broken in, just to see what it will do. Car was completely stock and about a year old. I kept the timing slips all these years as momentos. My best run of 5 was 15.92 sec. @ 86.94 mph at Houston International Dragway (long gone now). I'm pretty sure that this was the run during which I destroyed the second gear synchros. The dealer repaired it in one day under warranty.

Great run.
What part of Houston are you in? HID, didn't think anyone knew about that. Make sure to come out to the Houston RX Club meets. PM for details. |
bone stock? really? damn that's the best time I've heard of for a nonturbo s4. Most of the magazines were getting like a 16.5
|

the sport is the lightest second gen. |

i ran a 15.90 @88.69mph with my all stock s4 n/a and it has alot of miles 137000. and that was with my friend in the car.
the rest of the night i ran consecutive 15.9's |
And the only reason the magazines got a mid to low 15's is becuase they shifte at like 6500 rpm. pussies
