Video: BNR Stage 3 Dynapack results
Hey guys,
here is the video from my dyno session over the summer. Thanks to scrub (dan mcvicker) for taking the time to edit the video. I plan to hit the dynojet when the weather gets warmer.....I have resolved some minor ignition problems and think I can better the current numbers. We'll see :) http://videos.streetfire.net/Player....C-069349BD885A |
Just sexy Rich. Very impressive. :)

Nice #s Richy. This summer should be fun..

Hey Rich!
Great video! The car is absolutely beautiful. Performs well, looks good, what else would you want out of a driven street car??? 421 is a good feat especially with hybrid twins. I know we can squeeze a few more HP out of them just by doing a few more things the the exhaust manifolds. I think atleast 430-440 RWHP is attainable, but the more people that get these turbos and push them, the more numbers you will see :D. These turbos at 17-17.5 psi will get down 420's RWHP with the right mods. Been done a few cars. Cant wait for a few sequential guys to break 400 RWHP. That I think is an ideal set up if everything works properly with all the seq stuff. Gotta love 400 plus twins! You push the boost, you make numbers if you tune the cars properly... i posted this on another thread but thought this would be the best area.
rich, i was watching your dyno video, and you said that it was dyno\\\'d at 19 and 21psi i believe. now it was all the same hp and tq numbers at 17 psi right? i was just wondering if bnr\\\'s run out of breath after 17 psi or was it just your ignition setup? |
bryan feel free to chime in

I did not dyno at 19 or 21 psi. The highest I dynoed was 17.5 psi, which resulted in the 421 rwhp. We stopped at that level because I was running out of fuel injector. Bryan has told me in the past these twins will run out of breath after 19-20 or so psi. Rich |
Cool video!!!
Get those dynojet numbers, they might be higher :) |
Nice numbers. :)

Assuming I can see 430 on pump fuel I'd guess leaning it out to 12:1 on race fuel might gain an extra 10-15rwhp, but just can't see 450 being possible. Would love to be proven wrong though. |

We got 404rwhp out of my car with the turbos out of flow (1.3bar plus a 50 shot was giving no more power than 1.15bar and no gas) - given the 0.3bar pressure drop across the intercooler (we were seeing on my car) is worth around 30rwhp. Will find out for sure when I get my monster vmic over from Chuck :)

Best of luck with it Rich, fingers crossed for you
Mine was done on a Dyno Dynamics setup, which is as close to a standard as we have over here. Will probably be April before I get mine back on the dyno with new downpipe and v-mount, but will be interesting to see how both cars compare when they are finally finished :) |
great numbers, great car too ... bnr turbos seems to be very good turbos...

how are these turbos at 14-15psi??....

I am doing everything I can to get the car prepped and on the dynojet this coming weekend with a better ignition, intake and exhaust setup..... Rich |
Best of luck with it Rich  Bax Global have lost my vmount :( so it will be a while before I get the insurance money back from it, and get Chuck to make up another one, so I can play catch up ;)
I was stuck around 360rwhp @ 14psi on my last engine, only have figs for the current one at ~16.5psi but working it back gives ~380 at 14.5psi. |
rich.. the 421 pull was on the stock ignition?

Rich i'm trying to find a good turbo (or turbos) setup that can operate at about 15-16psi and make decent numbers....i use the stock ECU with a aux injector controller for extra fuel....i would like to keep using this combo and just get more air into her at the same pressures.... |

Re: the stock ecu with fuel controller, not too sure if that's a good idea. what else do you have for the rest of your fuel system? I hope it's not stock. |
Hey Rich, Nice numbers buddy. Good luck on the dyno this weekend. Also, who hosted your video? I need someone to host mine.
|
Your car is my inspiration. That being said, please stop raising my bar.
|
nice numbers!
your car sounds badass at idle. |
Rich was that on pump gas? Nice numbers BTW! :)
