New time w/ TII diff
R/T .216
60 1.872 330 5.137 1/8 7.708 mph 99.42 1000 9.904 1/4 11.758 mph 120.17 I just went with a TII diff after destoing my torsen. I run a T-70 with 14psi on Nitto 555r's . Still running stock touring suspension. Oh well not bad for the last run of the year. hopefully with a some tuning and suspension work I will hit low 11's. |
I would expect you to have higher trap speeds on 14psi with a t70. Is the car tuned?
|
It was tuned by Banzai racing in Fort Wayne (Pierceton IN), but still pretty rich. We just did a full rebuild not that long ago. So stillo =on the safe side. I forgot to mention this is a non ball-bearing T-70. So I prety happy with the speed I ran a 12.1 at 108 about a month ago so the 120 was a nice step up. I still am having some traction issues, so that where my speed is goin to have to come from. The T-70 is not a bad turbo, but needs more boost to make it efficient.

Nice run Tim, I need to find myself a TII diff at a good price. Good talking to you at the BBQ on Saturday, next year I'll have to come up to Stanton for some runs.

Yeah Tim. You need to get that thing tuned, you're not fast enough!:)
|
Need more boost......
|
Thats funny I broke my stock diff not long ago on 10 psi I went 7.81 with a 1.6 60ft on Nitto drags. Now I got a Kazz.

Blew my stock diff. and bushings a few runs after this one on ET streets @15psi:

Glad to see all the good press on the s4 TII diff. This may motivate me to finally install mine.....I have had a brand new one sitting around for over a year. Coincidentally, I have not drag raced in over a year :)

drag racing is extremely hard on the parts....and expensive
kind of a shame to run a road course car like an FD at a drag strip and beat the shit out of it....why not just buy a $4000 '68 Camaro, which will be quicker and FAR more reliable....if quarter mile bragging rights really worth it? I think not... actually I never understood dragracing....bores the crap out of me unless it's top fuel...now those cars SHAKE THE EARTH baby |
road racers usally feel that way but i have respect for all 7's

For one a 68 camaro is probally one of the uglyist cars around from that era. Second, when the time comes my rx7 will be a track car as well. So just cause you don't like drag racing don't come on a primarily drag racing thread, and try to piss on our parade. So next time you think about posting just rember where you are. |
