Getting the FD tuned. What #s should I expect?

Hi all,

So Steve Kan is flying out to tune a number of us in a few weeks and I was wondering what kind of numbers are realistic with the mods I have.

The car has the following:

1993 FD on original engine with stock internals (33k original miles. really)

compression 110psi on all rotor faces.

Supra fuel pump.

stock primaries and 1200cc secondaries.

Knight Sports Intake and V-mount IC & radiator

BNR stage 3 sequential turbos

SMB australia Down Pipe

Bonez high flow cat mid pipe.

RB catback.

PFC + datalogit

The car is a really clean low mileage beauty and I want to keep her healthy for a long time. I drive her pretty frequently and intend to track occasionally.

It was tuned by Nelson at RRR in Santa Ana this summer very conservatively per my request.
On RRR's Dynapack it turned out 257whp and 217TQ.
She's definitely safe, but so pig rich I think I could have Steve K squeeze some more out of her while still keeping a good margin of safety. (I also have AEM water injection for safety but will tune without it and use it as extra margin)

what do you guys think this set up is good for while keeping it on the safe side?

thanks.

First off nice clean car/setup. It's hard to guess but I know of guys who put down 297-315 with a few bolt on mods, injectors & PFC.

hah Funny i happen to be that 297 :icon_tup:

I have a friend of mine with your exact setup and he got 360 whp on high boost of I believe it was 18 psi when steve kahn tuned his car.

and that was because injectors were maxed . so I'd say a realistic goal would be 350 or 330 on a lower boost parameter.

Did you get it tuned? How did it go?

Please post up numbers when you get a chance. I'm doing Rotary Performance DP, Bonez HF Cat with HKS catback, Apexi intake and PFC just tuned by Chris at RP. He just did the tune based on my mods and gave me a low boost program and high boost program. I'm putting it all on tonight. I'm a little nervous, wish me luck.
