I say 10's with radials, two step, and a good driver.

fair enough man! i was just wondering about it really.. i just mainly dont trust those calculators for quarter mile times.. but i trust real peoples input who been there and done that with these cars..

It also comes down to the driver. ErnieT had a hard time breaking into the 9's with a 700+whp car, however Lupe (now VikingWarHammer) was riding his brakes to keep his car in the 10's (no 9s legal cage) at 603whp. It may also be that Lupe was obsessive about removing weight from his car (sub 2100 pound car when it was sold). Learn how to drive the car, don't break things, and things will happen.

i understand.. I was just more of a cappable question really.. regardless a 520whp setup will be a street beast regardless!! well should be :D

Depends on which dyno recorded such value. ET and trap speed calculators can work pretty accurately and they were developed to correlate with engine power.

With this in mind, vehicle of 3000 lbs race weight, to crack into 9 second zone and 140 MPH, will have to have at least 620+ HP@crank, more if gear ratios doesn´t match powerband. What it means in whp on guess machines, IDK:lol:

Stole a bunch of performance parts from other forum members and customers of some shop local to him, installed a solid axle, removed most of interior, installed aluminum race seat, light weight race wheels, and pretty much removed everything that wasnt necessary.

Around 2450-2500lbs is more the norm though with the standard weight reduction techniques ie. titanium exhaust, remove interior, remove ac and ps, install sleek lights and remove any under car bracing not necessary, etc
