Looks good, congrats on the numbers!

I didn't see a catch can, and what transmission is that?

gusfd3s 08-10-13 07:37 AM

No catch can yet.. It just dumps on the ground at the moment..
The driveline in 100% stock except a kaaz diff.

you can read the specs here :) Garaget | Mazda RX-7 (1993)

Catch tank will be built. also having some temperature troubles when standing in heavy traffic.

hopes my transmission wont fail me this season.

This is awesome To see another streetcar with this manifold! Congratulations on the horsepower numbers their kick ass! I'm building a similar set up but with a s483 dual batmo and 8x2200 & 4x1680 on two walbro e85 pumps. Was the rotating assembly balanced? Why did you decide stop at 9700, was it not making anymore power after that point?

Wow, thats alot of fuel. Are you going for methanol? The rotating assembly is balanced. Im not comfortable reving higher without some more rotor mods. The car tacho stops at 9000rpm also :-)

No, just going to run e85 for now, the goal is to get in 4 digit hp range. Did you have the rotor face clearanced?

The rotor outer countour is still stock. When robin is ready for it i will do face clearance on them :-)

Pretty intense stuff to say the least :)

I didn't see it mentioned..... what engine internals are being used other than OEM?

I think for this build it will likely be ok, I doubt it will see 20k miles anytime soon. I could be wrong though :)

robzter 08-15-13 03:07 PM

20k miles is more than i have driven the car the 7 years i had it :p i have driven it 6000miles. so it will be fine :)

now starts the big work to get the rest of the car to keep up. think ill break the stock transmission soon.

SeanK 08-15-13 03:24 PM

pretty impressive

i think i can guess. :) well i mostly do highway pulls. but sometimes on 2nd. but i will start taking the car to the dragstrip a little bit more now.

btw you dont know anyone that have 2 LHD door panels just laying around? :P mine is 90% converted to LHD and that is the last pieces that i am missing. and the RH side lock with actuator for the central locking :)

smg944 08-19-13 10:00 AM

highway then 5th gears days are numbered as well lol. i have blown 3 5th gears and 1 3rd. very nice numbers btw

robzter 08-30-13 10:36 PM

did my first race with the new engine setup today. i can say my 26/10,5/16 et streets cant keep the traction when it builds boost :P

greedygenius 10-28-13 03:29 AM

should be a monster on the highway
