what did you run today?

matty 10-30-05 05:19 PM

guys making low 400s are trapping 125plus. Your sixty foot time is great. given your power and your 60'time i was thinking u should already be deep 10s trapping 135mph or more.

aruba 10-31-05 08:36 AM

ok guys
10.92

60ft 1.7...
mph 129

we were in a bracket race we one the round after while breaking 3rd et was low 11s
well the shifter feels loose
does not go into any gear

well happy we hit the 10s

aruba 10-31-05 08:56 AM

a bit more info on the car
it has a wide body kit wide fenders both front and back

on the last run that we broke the tranny we had a 1.5 60ft and letting off in third we ran a low 11s
so i think that could of been a 10.80 or 10.70 pass
well the track will reopen next year so we have other plans???

lupe have you broken tranny's before????
if you did what exactly broke in it, we havent taken it apart yet

if you are using someting else what is it???

here are some links

the silver one runs 10.92
the black one is mine

my black car is expecting a bridge port from kilo racing soon

Boostn7 10-31-05 07:23 PM

Let's see... 129 mph and assuming you're ~ 3000lbs w/driver and body kit you're putting down ~500rwh....not too far off from your dynoed 528rwh.

Those are good numbers...just a matter of trying different shift points and get those gears in as fast as possible :-)

1.5 60ft !!! <-- Very nice....my best ever is a 1.48 60ft on Et streets.

Good Luck

myR1 10-31-05 07:52 PM

aruba- It sounds like your tranny has a similar problem as mine did. If you take the shifter linkage off, there should be a circular piece on a rod. There is a roll pin that goes through the circular piece to hold it to the rod. My roll pin shifted up out of the rod. Without this you are unable to move the rod which moves synchronizers to get into gear. Hopefully this helps you

Something is broke inside my tranni. I have to literally put around 30lbs of force on my shifter to keep in gear while launching. I thought about going the t56 or gforce route but haven't decided yet. I'm going to take mine apart and see what's wrong. I think a bolt or two backed out of my tranni.

Anyhow, what's your 1/8 mph?

aruba 11-01-05 12:33 PM

thats what i thought a friends said a pin might have broke right there where the shifter go's

lupe i was thinking of getting a tremac tranny
just dont know yet which one tk 600 maybe
there cheap and streetable compared like the g-force
hahhahha

what port do you have on you car street port
on my black car i have an engine beeing done as we speek by kilo racing bridge port
let me know what is your favorite?????????

how light can i make my fd????

turbogarrett 11-01-05 08:48 PM

528 rwhp should be enough for low 10's @ 130+. Get some skinnies up front, weld's or ghetto spare/motorcycle tire combo like me. They really seem to help the car from wandering around the track and free about 30lbs off the front end. Nice #'s!

samurai 11-01-05 09:11 PM

Congratulations my friend. You where realy flying low

Hopi bon tempo Swa Pabien, Planta boso a planta respet..

fastrx7man 11-01-05 09:24 PM

With that type of power you should be in the low 10's...keep practicing...

I went 11.1 @ 121 and was only making 406rwhp...trapped nearly 126mph on another pass.

Good Luck...keep us posted once you get the car fixed...

kabooski 11-01-05 09:39 PM

for low 10's takes about 550 HP
with a clean run and 4.33 gears

we don't have best ratios in out trannys
to trap high

here is a timeslip for a 550HP FD
ET streets

This is Dan's FD
_______________
60' ... 1.34
330'... 4.176
1/8'... 6.485
MPH... 108.61
1/4'... 10.175
MPH'...135

as you can see 129 is "close" to what he should trap

135 MPH with 528 HP/ 2900Ibs+ FD your dreaming

yes if you spin you trap higher
you get traction you lose MPH
compared to the spun run

Thank you.......
I'm also assuming his car is heavier w/ body kit.

<<I went 11.1 @ 121 and was only making 406rwh>> -- Traps match the claimed hp quite well.
<<...trapped nearly 126mph on another pass.>> ---obviouly making more power on this run.....at least another ~50rwh...maybe boost was higher.

Matter of time before "aruba" breaks the 130mph traps.

I used a ito large port template with a little of my own modification..... How light can you make it? As light as you want........ you can get it down to a couple hundred lbs ........... but it won't drive :)

What was your 1/8th mph?
