Yes! Now have Volk TE-37 on my TII

First off, thanks Rishie for setting us up w/ rims- It was a pleasure to do business w/ Rishie; I found his patience is amazing, prices good and he is quick in correspondence and delivery. Some details on my setup- Bronze TE-37 (looks great on blue TII, very subtle color combo) 16x7.5 +30 up front, 16x8 +30 in rear w/ 225/50 Yokohama A520 all around. I chose offsets. Rear fitment is perfect; front is rubbing fender edge a bit on hard cornering (had to wait till road was dry to get rub). +42 is the other offset offered in 7.5x16 TE-37, it looks like this may have "just" fit as far as tire not rubbing spring perch; +42 and a minimal spacer would let you get it right. I think I will be OK when I roll the fender lip under and more than stock negative camber would help too.
Driving impressions-straight line traction seems no different than stock w/ 205 P7s; still losing traction in 1st at high rpms. I believe the ligher rim is easier accelerate and this is offsetting the extra traction. Vehicular acceleration does seem a bit faster in 1st. Cornering traction is a different story; it has much higher limits and seems more responsive to throttle changes (a little throttle brings rear out more than before). I was afraid changing from stock offset may cause car to track badly over bumps and such but it is perfect still. I can't tell yet if the staggered F/R rim width is causing any understeer yet because I have been too busy playing w/ throttle on oversteer.

Took some pics at work. Please remember this is my beater/daily driver. Cost less than rims on it, so don't be too harsh in your judgement please!

Ha ha, I have the "rally special" right now. my cars just wearing its highwaters since its winter, I promise! I am shopping for nice susp. currently- it will be down in time to hug the warm pavement of summer... Yeah those TE-37 look nice on most cars, I bought them for their reputation of lightness-the looks are an added bonus. I believe form follows function.

I *think* white, bronze and gunmetal are standard. Any color powdercoat available for small charge per wheel. About 1.5K for my set, price varies by diameter/width a bit.

Thanks GTR. I love the weight of the CP-035, but prefer the look of TE-37-plus Rishie was doing the Volk thing. I have admired your car since you first posted that pic. Very striking! My NA was red, what a nightmare as far as cops tailing me for no reason. I swear my blue TII has granny radar protection, they don't even look when I'm doing 10mph over. Mabye I could get their attention w/ dual N1. Hint, hint. (tell me if you want to sell the *** cannons to help finance new wheels...)

My friend's 91 has the stock suspension, and it looks the same: Very high.

Holy **** Ian. I got your downpipe and it was way more than we expected.

Frikin' full SS, knew that, awesome welds. But to top it off, it's a single piece from your exhaust manifold all the way to the SPEC90 exhaust. I ordered 4 of them right away. I mean $340.00 for a full downpipe/midpipe as a single piece is the ****. SS and 90mm.

Dude, you have the first JIC true 90mm turbo back system in the US. Sick as hell. I'm so jealous cause I have a 90 also and you got yours before me. F**k.

Call me and we'll ship it out. I'll take pics tommorrow.

Lates, Rishie

Awsome! I wondered when I noticed they did not offer a "mid" pipe for the Spec 90 on FC!

I just read the FLT-A2 review on the FC in this forum. Oh god, I can't wait to get it running!!!

Yum, JIC Magic

EDIT- oh yes, to ammend the original post from way back when... The front tire rubbing turned out to be only rubbing the little hard rubber blocks that hold the inner fender liner in. No lost paint anywhere on the lip after 1000s of miles of hard driving! - just angled blocks now. It might not be so keen when I lower it w/ the FLT-A2s, but I will throw some negative camber in as well so should be good. Incase anyone wanted to do the 7.5" w/ +30mm offset and 225mm wide tires up front.

Hey guys.. bringing this out of the blue as I have a quick question. I found a wheel I like which comes with 35 mm offset and 16x7.5 size.

Now, the thing is, Are 225's to big, or should I stay with 215's .. Also, I'm a tad worried about the front spring/perch rubbing with 225's or even 215's - Would a 5mm spacer work well in this situation. I like the look of second gen wheels pushed out a bit.

oh, can you fit a 5mm spacer on the stock lugs?
