would this fit?

i wanted to see if 18x9 20 offset would fit the front. i know a wide fender would have to be in use but would i have to use any spacers? would it look funny with that size all around?

I believe you would only need spacers if your offset was higher (thus making your wheels closer inward to your shocks/struts). A lower offset (when positive, at least) means the wheel will come out farther. I know for sure that 18x9 with 20mm offset won't fit the stock front fender. I'm not too much help...

I'm guessing you mean on an FC by looking at your screen name.

An 18x9 +20 will not fit stock fenders WITHOUT front coilovers, fender rolling/pulling, or front widebody fenders.

was thinking about 30mm fender but dont want it to be too close. maybe 50mm? i dont have the 18x9 20offset for the front. the front is what i have now. 18x8 40offset. the rears, 18x9 20offset havent come in yet. the place that sold them to me gave me 225x40x18 but i think thats too small for the rears. i can use them for now but i will for sure look for something in the 255 area and up for the rears.

axis widetracks

LBC_FC3S 11-27-07 10:28 AM

yup. anyone with them?

unicorn_squad 11-27-07 12:01 PM

they will fit. they' should even clear the stock fenders if you just roll up the lip and run a 235 or smaller tire....

also depends how much camber, but I fit 17x9 +17 with 235/40 under stock barely rolled fenders and ~ 1.7 degrees of camber.

with coilovers you can fit 255's up front in that offset (and wide fenders). i'd be a little concerned about tire height tho. i dont know available 18" tire sizes, but i do know that 255/40/18 is way too tall. is there a 30 or 35?
30mm fenders are plenty wide enough to cover it.

Kudos on the some nice wheels. Being that the stock tire is a 205/55/16, the equivalent as an 18 would be a 205/45, 215/40, 225/35,etc... I think the 225/40 would fit quite nicely as it would stretch a bit.
