will rx8 rims fit on a fd?

Just a quick question.... has anyone tried to fit a set of rx8 rims on a fd?

why would u want to put a heavier rim that is 8" across?

MR_Rick 08-01-04 04:04 PM

any way, yes they do fit and they actually look okay

Mazda did just that on the '96+ RX-7s. They have 17x8 up front.

I've seen 2 series 8 FDs and a FC with RX8 rims. They all look nice but you might as well spend the cash on some nice chromies true?!

Hopefully no one seriously thinking about this mod. The widest tire you could fit on the stock RX-8's wheel is a 245 mm.

Actually, the minimum wheel size for a 245/35 is 8.5". So, you can only run 225/40 or 235/40 18 tires. Even worse than you thought...:)
