Will this fit on my fd?
Ok, I bought a JDM 92 FD at the beginning of this summer and I have been driving around with some decent 17x7 rims with 225/45 on them.
However next year I want to do something different than the local scene and I want to rock some big ass rims and tires. My question is what if any problems can you forsee with me throwing on a set of 17x9 +25 offset tires on the front and 17x10.5 +20 offset on the rear? The tires I plan on running are a 245/40 on the front and a 315/35 on the rear. I already know that I will have to roll the fenders and maybe throw on some wider front fenders but I was wondering if anyone can forsee any other issues? Thanks for your time. |
the rear is to wide with that offset. It would need a flare.

Any idea of how much of a flare I would need? I want to rock these tires ASAP,
I'm looking into the burnout kit with the rear overfenders. |
Burnout isn't going to work either (~20mm flare). You are going to need a 50mm or larger flare with that offset and tire width.

Ok, I found a set of flares from extreme dimensions. That should work and it will go good with the kit I have planned.
I was just wondering if anyone thought I would have any more issues than just putting a flare on my car. Also I am looking into running a 255 on the front with a 9 inch rim, Any issues there? |
nope, 255s on 9" wheels would be fine
|
Ok, so basically the only problem we can find is that I am going to need over fenders for the rear? Thats awesome.
315/35 here I come. |
17 x 7 is a downgrade to the stock 16 x 8 rims. At least you can run wider 245 tires on the stock 8" rims and they weight less.

Thats why I don't want to run these rims anymore, I want something that will do the car justice. |
