Will 285/35/18x9.5 +35 and 245/40/18x8.5 +30 5Zigen FN01RC fit 93 FD?
Will 285/35/18x9.5 +35 and 245/40/18x8.5 +30 5Zigen FN01RC fit 93 FD?
Friend with an RX7 is interested in my stagger wheels/tire setup. Did a little searching and see a couple people running 275/35/18 or 295/30/18 but nothing exactly the same. Also the offset is a little different than what 5zigen reccommends for your cars (they say 18x8.5 + 38 and 18x9.4 +45), seems to me all that means is these wheels willstick out 8mm farther on the front and 1cm farther on the rear, which isn't too bad unless it looks bad... but maybe it'd rub the rear fenders? Front should be alright?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Those wheels will NOT fit with the stock fenders.... You would most likely have to cut the rear fender lip (not roll) to make the rears work. The fronts will stick out farther than running 285/30s up front....
And those tire sizes are wrong....they are a full inch too tall. Even if you massaged the fenders to fit, you would have to ditch the tires and get proper sizes (235/40 or 245/35 front, 265/35 or 275/35 rear).

Yep, gave them a test drive on my friends car. Front seemeed perfectly fine. The rear fender rubbed the outside of the rear tires on bumps, on the very outter edge of the tire. I imagine with bigger offset (+45 as 5zigen reccommends) or narrower tires (275/35 as suggested above) they would clear the fenders. Instead, he thinks he wants to find some widebody rear fenders to make these fit.
